Arrival Story: We adopted Mollie and Keira together from a guy who posted them as "free to a good home" on Craigslist. He was getting divorced and moving to an apartment. He had adopted Mollie from a shelter when she was a puppy, and adopted Keira (original name Brady) from a shelter in 2007.

Bio: Mollie is a medium-sized mixed breed. She looks like a lab/hound cross, with perhaps Viszla or American Foxhound as the hound part. She's a graceful, agile, athletic dog who runs very fast. She's a people pleaser who is very easy to train - she will be taking her CGC test in February 2009. She has amazing endurance and energy and very strong hunting instincts. She's three years old and weighs about 55 pounds.
Her previous owner got her as a puppy and then adopted Keira to be her buddy in the fall of 2007. She's very attached to Keira and they play-fight all the time. They don't do much cuddling, though.
Mollie has a couple of adorable habits, including groaning and vocalizing a lot. She also likes to come up to me and head-butt me, then stand there pushing her head into my leg.
Mollie will eat anything and isn't picky. She barks at people when they come into the yard or onto the front porch. She whines when she wants something and gets very excited when we get ready for walks, including whining and trembling. She's very reliable with sit, down, spin, touch, roll over, etc., and took to the clicker right away. She is not very good at coming when there are distractions/new smells to smell.
Mollie is very friendly toward most people, but she'll shy away from some men (notably, friends of ours!). She loves attention, but isn't pushy about it. She's a gangly, long-legged, awkward dog sometimes, but she's really fun to be around.
