not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:
-dog rescue

Laying on the couch, Chewing a nyla bone & Snuggling

She does not like "In Your Face", Aggressive Dogs. She requires Slow Intros & I think she has a Strong Prey Drive - So Cats might Not be the Best

Favorite Toy:
Nyla bones - She Loves to Chew!

Favorite Food:
Peanut Butter stuffed Kong

Favorite Walk:
She likes Nature cause She likes the Birds & Squirrels - but I think She would like to Chase them if She Could

Arrival Story:
Sarah had to go into boarding due to her current foster home not being about to keep her anymore. I hated the thought of her in there, when she deserved so much more. She came to my house at the end of October & has been a perfect angel!

Attention Lazy Dog Owners & all potential Lazy Dog Owners!!!!!!!
Have you always wanted a dog, but just didn't like all the activity that goes with one?
Have you always wanted a furry companion to sit with you on the couch & watch TV, especially football?
Have you always wanted to be adored by a pair of big brown eyes, but didn't want to do all that 'dog park' stuff?

Well it is your lucky day!!!! My name is Sarah Jane & the two highlights of my day are chewing my bone & laying on the couch! Sometimes I go all out & even chew my bone WHILE I am sitting on the couch! I am a boxer/shepherd mix who is approximately 4/5 yrs old & I will admit ..... I am a lazy dog! I do have my spunky outburst every once in a while, but they only last about 5-10 minutes tops. I do like to spin in circles, but then I just want to lay around after that. My foster mom says I am the easiest, least stressful dog she has ever had! She loves me very much, especially since I am so easy to live with, but she feels like I deserve a family to call my own! The only thing I will ask of my future family is if they introduce me to new dogs, they need to do it slowly. I get a little nervous around new dogs & I will look to you to make sure it is ok. But once I know who my family is, I am a fun-loving, lounging dog. I love kids too!!!! There are three boys here ages 12 to 3 & I love them & they love me! So start your new year out right - with a couch buddy! Plus I would love to be in my new forever home by the end of January. That way I can get a good seat for The Superbowl! I love to watch football!

Sarah Jane
4 to 6 yrs old - maybe???

Good with: People, loves the boys!!! Medium to large dogs - if introduced SLOWLY!!!!

Forever Family Requirements: Strong leadership, patience, a 'at home' kind of family

Sarah Jane is the PERFECT family dog!!!! She is mellow, yet playful; loving, but not needy & gets along w/ other dogs - if introduced slowly & properly. I think Sarah's perfect family would be someone who has a fenced in yard & would be content with keeping her at home. Sarah would not be a good dog to take out & about - she does get along with other dogs, but she has to be introduced to them slowly - that is a necessity! She will look to her 'person' for guidance as to what is ok & what is not ok. That means she needs a confidant leader who will take the lead. She really just wants to be loved on! She is content laying on the couch/bed & munching down on her bone! She loves to chew her Nyla bones. She is completely house trained & crate trained & she is not a barker at all! Everyone that Sarah Jane has met since coming to my house always leaves saying 'what a great dog'. I know Sarah is not a boxer - I think she might have some German Shepherd in her, but that in no way means she wouldn't be a wonderful addition to the right family! Sarah has been in the rescue a while but that doesn't mean she isn't a good dog. Sometimes it takes a while to find out what a dog is good with & what they are not good with. Like I said, Sarah Jane is not a 'dog park' kind of dog & she just needs a family that will accept her & love her for the type of dog she is - not one that feels they need to 'change' her or put her in uncomfortable situations - just to see if they can 'help her'. Sarah is perfect the way she is & if she sounds like your kind of 'couch potato, snuggling' dog - please submit an application! Thank you!

Sarah here! I had a great weekend at the Pet Fest here in Charleston, SC. There were three of us BRBR girls at this event and everyone loved us! I still don’t have my forever family, even though I was hoping you would come to the event and fall in love with me! We had a great time anyway, though. There were tons of people…lots of kids! Yum, I love to kiss the kids! There were lots of dogs there, too. I wasn’t too sure about some of them, but my foster mom kept me close and told me it was okay.
I am getting so much better at responding to the simple commands! I’m also getting much, much better at walking pretty on the leash. Mom says the first few minutes of our walk are the toughest and she has to remind me that she is in charge, but after that I settle down and enjoy it.
I had a dream the other night that you had finally found me and fallen in love with me! You filled out your application, had an A+ home visit, and brought me home to a new, warm bed, lots of toys, and yummy treats! Not to mention your lap to cuddle on while you watch TV, a big fenced yard to run around in, and maybe even some kids to love on! It was the best dream!
Will you make that dream come true, please? I am so eager to meet you! I just know it will be love at first sight!! I’ll go on and tell the sweet ladies at BRBR to be looking for your application so that we can be a family real soon!!! ~~Woof!~~
