Here comes Dukey cottontail hopping down the bunny trail and looking for an Easter basket to bounce into!
Lets recap.....Duke is 100% potty trained, he sits patiently at meal time waiting to be fed and has never growled or even lifted a lip when the other dogs have visited his eating area, poor Duke is always the one getting his treats and bones taken away from the others because he is so submissive, he goes up to bed when it is time and sleeps in his fluffy dog bed next to my 13 year old daughters bed, he loves running laps around the yard and wrestling or looking for sticks, but also loves laying under his big shady tree when he is tired out or even in a baby pool. Duke has a favorite spot on the couch and is all for big fluffy blankets and dog beds, he also loves his crate. If you love to go hiking Duke is the one for you because Duke LOVES hiking! He actually waits by the door bouncing when he knows we are going on one, especially when you take him on ones that cross creeks or waterfalls-he LOVES playing in the water! My wish for Duke is that he finds a family that loves him as much as we do! Another dog would be nice-especially a laid back one such as himself but not necessary. A fenced in yard would be a must so he can roam and run free, but not forget the importance of walks because Duke does enjoy them. I hope this gives you an idea of what a great dog, companion, friend Duke could be. I don't understand why he is still in rescue because to meet Duke is to love Duke, he has so much to offer, you couln't ask for anything better! If Duke is the one that captures your heart like he did ours put in an application, Duke will be waiting :-)

HoHoHo Duke Here and ready for the holidays!!
I have been thinking and my Christmas list consists of some nylabones, some rope toys, snuggly blankets (don't tell anyone...they are so soft and fuzzy I love them, but I am still a cool guy) and I also love stuffed animals that squeek, but they don't last long...I get too excited and tear them up..hehe! But most of all a family to share them all with!
I love to run and box and play.. I am housebroken, crate trained and LOVE my doggy bed! I sleep in bed at night with the teenage girl that lives here, she loves to snuggle, but sometimes I also sleep in my dog bed with my favorite blanky.
I get along with everyone and love other dogs too. I am laid back and love to watch tv but also run laps around the back yard, I love to see how fast I can go!

Warm loving family that I can call my own. You need to love to squish my face on a daily basis, I sit there patiently waiting if you forget! I have never had an accident in the house, I know better than that! I get along great with everyone and I love to box, tap dance, and wiggle! Everyone who meets me falls in love with me. I love my crate and also love dog beds..I also love snuggling up on the couch to watch a good movie. If you think you have the heart for a great guy like me fill out an application, I will sit here nicely and wait for you....

Hmmmm, I don't know who Eeyore is from Winnie the Pooh is, but everyone says that is me! The only difference is I don't have to look for my tail, it is always there wagging happily! I love everyone big or small, and get along with other dogs..I am a bit shy, but get my exciting bursts of energy here and there-otherwise I am pretty laid back. I am afraid of aggressive dogs. I just want to make everyone happy. I am about 4-5 years old and potty trained. I also am getting better with loud noises! My foster mom says I have nothing to be afraid of anymore so slowly but surly I am starting to not let things scare me so much!

Ready for My Forever Home

Hi guys its me Duke and guess what!?!? I am all healed up and ready for my family! I play really nice with all the dogs in my foster home! They taught me how to play tug of war and they even taught me how to play keep the ball away from the puppy! It was so much fun! Yes, we had a puppy in our foster home and he was alot of energy! I was very tolerant of him.. I am still getting the idea of what toys are for, did you know they made them for dogs???? Yes, they do, they actually have toys for dogs! You don't get in trouble for playing with them, it is awesome!!!
I have not had an accident yet in the house which everyone seems to be really happy about. I love my comfy dog bed where I sleep at night and also love my crate! I am very well behaved and love attention! I love to petted and love to sit on your lap. Kids are great, but I am not sure how big I am so when I sit on them I squish them a little, but I lick thier face a whole lot to make up for it!!
I am a little skiddish of extra loud noises. I am working on it though. I am a lover not a fighter so no aggressive dogs for me, they scare me-I don't want to fight, I just want to lick and wiggle :-)

Hi everyone, Its me Sir Duke of York!! My foster mom says I have a special name because I am a special guy! I am around 3 years old and everyone who meets me loves me and I love them right back! That usually is a good thing, however it did get me into a bit of trouble....You see since I am so friendly and my previous family did not care about me and another dog tried to fight with me! I did not fight back so it was over pretty quick but I do have some stitches in my neck that are healing. Doesn't stop me though, I am just as playful as ever! I currently am in a home with 2 adult boxers and 1 puppy, also two kids ages 15 and 12-they love me and I give them kisses all the time!!! I am a little skiddish since the attack happened-whenever I get scared I jump into the 15 year old boys lap and snuggle, don't know why but he makes me feel safe :-) I don't mind my crate and am potty trained! I am very respectful to the things in my foster home and love laying on my big shaggy rug by my doggie bed! If you think you have the perfect home for me let the nice people at BRBR know!
