It has been a long time since I have written you. I am doing well, the Queen has me on a special diet, she says I have to get rid of my pancreatitis (whatever that is!!!) and lose weight(yucko!) she has limited my treats and this has been very hard for me. Well to get back to what has transpired since last I wrote you. We had some visitors from the North, Ms Olivia the Great Horned Owl and her two little babies. They had been a great diversion to me and they have since let the Great, Mr. Oak Tree. They however, did leave a mess behind. They hunted and I saw them in my rounds around the Kingdom with the Queen, when I felt like it!!! The King and Queen have been really worried about me and I got sooooooo much attention, I just loved it but I felt like HEdouble toothpicks like the Queen says. The King has much more he man language and I kibittz with him daily. He is so regal and the Queen, well she is the best!!! Well I want to thanks you all for the many gifts you have sent and the prayers you sent. After my hospital stay, I never want to go there again, they were nice but THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!!!!!!! Well since my recovery, I know I had the Queen so worried, I have had the chance to sniff and secure the Mystic Forest and the Magic Pond and I found Mr. & Mrs. Mallard, the ducks had been waddling in the yards for seed and things. I had to stop and chat awhile and they brought me up to snuff, about what went on while I was recuperating. There had been so scuffles and some intruders but Miss Spice and Mr. Mallard had been making my rounds for me. Everything looked intact and the place was kept up so nice for you courtiers.
I have missed seeing Sir Fitzcairn and Sir Chriscairn and Lady Dumpling and Dame Zoe and Sir Entwhistle and all the others who gave me so many get well rewards, I will be sending some gifts from the Queen and me soon. Well from all in the Kingdom, keep reading the Queen's correspondence and of coarse my cheeky quips from the Kingdom. HiHo,HiHo it's off to keep watch over the palace. Love Sir Spencer

Ah, today was the Royal games in the Kingdom. I was enjoying all of the Lady Dames that were wearing their finery. The Knights were participating in the squirrel chase and the rest of us went on the hunt. We took of swords and put on our hunting jodpers and after a massive breakfast of porridge and fine roast beef, we headed out on our mission. To rid the world of the terrible beast in the Kingdom. We Knights have been hunting him down for centuries. He lives in the Den of the dark pines. He comes out to torture us with his taunting and teasing and we raoyals have had enough. He stalks the kingdom and has scared the Queen more than ounce when she was enjoying her needlepoint at the fountain of the reflection. We were quietly tracking and we had his sent. A foul and musty sent. We went into the woods quietly breathing quickly and silence was the order from the King. The dark creature was spotted carrying a large piece of pond wood. We could see Aurthur and Guinevere, the swans drifting safely out of his grasp. We watched him slither into the pond and tried to attack the swans. We called the YELL of the Knight of the Mystic Realm and our Knights of the Royal Diamond were their to imprison the monster. It skulked beyond the rushes with all of we fine defenders and Sir Fitz and Sir Chris grabbed the monster and pinned him with their mighty paws. It was a great and giant, water creature that had built some kind of wall to pool water into his lair. We brought him back to the King who stood standing brave and mighty at the shoe. We said, "Sir, what should we so with the creature?" The King eplied most reagally. "Let the beaver go, he is not the evil creature we are looking for." The beaver said," I am Bufor, and I have a lair for my family there. Please forgice my for causing an uproar here in the wonderful kingdom." "Please Sir, my wife Belynn and the little ones have been run out of other kingdoms because of my size being so grand. "You will remain here in this Kingdom, my friend, you are made welcome always. Come to the court to our great gala tomorrow we will celebrate. " Thank you your grace." said Bufor, with no more trepidation. "I would be honored." The Knights shook hands and said their adeius to Bufor the Great as the King placeg the noble honor of Lord Bufor and Lady Belynn. "This pond shall be your throne."
More gala fun to come.
Sir Spencer

This was a most royal day. We bequethed many into the Knights of the Mystic Realm and the Royal Dames of the Queen. Many of these young lads and ladies are of the bravest in the world. The Queen was needing more protectors and more ladies-in-waiting. We are happy to say we are getting many acceptance letters from the recipients. Daddy, on Dog Whisperer, is a mighty warrior and he holds the position of Great Knight of the order of the Diamond. He is a great knight trainer. The Queen and I are looking most forward to being able to let you know how the the new squires do.
Today in the Kingdom, the Queen and I were taking our morning walk around the kingdom and the geese were getting unruly and I had to run mighty fast to catch up with them but, I the swiftest and mighty of the King and Queen's Court, caught up with them and they flew away laughing. I was not amused. Mr. and Mrs. Mallard are back in the pond along with Arthur and Guenivere the swan that live in the most private pond in the Kingdom. I had to have a meeting with the Mallard's, telling them I needed their help in maintaining order around the ponding areas.
Well, it is tea time with the Queen and there is always good treats to eat. She spoils me with fine tidbits of roasted chicken. I have to say, all-in-all, I get fed the best of the best. The King and Queen will be having and state dinner for the new inductees and a court dance to finish off the night, all are excited about the doings to come, so please keep in touch and I will be back with more to report, from the Kingdom of Lone Oak, Sir Spencer

The patrol around the Kingdom

Dear Squires,
"The Queen and I were taking her morning walk, (my patrol) around the Kingdom this morning. The many other residents of the Kingdom were out and about. I saw Mr. and Mrs. Mallard and just had to chase them a little bit, for fun. I have a little patch within the Kingdom that is my own little Sherwood Forest and I like to take the Queen to visit on a regular basis. We wander and talk and it is by a pond, with is MINE!!!! and I have to keep it that way. The children were going to school and many other animals that live with the residents are out because the weather is getting warmer."
"The Queen gets cold on our walks so I must remind her to bundle up. I have been concerned that I haven't seen Wisdom, our great horned owl, lately and Hamish the hawk has been around less. We watch out for these great warriors to keep the pesky, bothersome mice out of our kingdom. The trash hauler was arriving today, I don't like his big and noisy cart, he is a odd fellow, but the Queen says he is a good worker, so who can question the ruler of the Kingdom."
"Miss Lizzie was spunky this morning and I said, "Top o' the mornin' to ya darlin'" and she snubbed me." "She puts her little tail in the air and struts off and doesn't give beans about me. She bows to the Queen but she ignores me, that little damsel is a cute morsel of she -dog." "Well the Queen told me not to be impatient and wait for her to come to me, but that is very hard for we knights of the kingdom to do."
"Many of the beautiful planties, are getting in my way. The Queen gives me these awful looks when I try to get a smell or two out of 'em."
"When summer comes there will be many pinics and parties and succulent goodies to eat, but we have to ignore the interesting, tempting planties." "I hope all you knights and ladies in waiting are doing well in your kingdoms. It is suppose to rain and storm today, I detest storms and the Queen gets miffed with me when I go BERZERK and bark at the thunder, I think we should have great weather all the time here." The Queen said, "Sir Spencer, you are the greatest knight in this kingdom and you throw fits when it thunders, now is that the way a true knight of the order of Lone Oak is to behave." I bet she never was scared of storms, but I know the Queen Mum and she said even the Queen had issues when she wass small." "Well just remember my commorades, Keep the wind to your back and the Queen off yer tail!!!!!!!!!"

We must relent to the Queen !!!!

Today the brown truck came into the Kingdom. We cannot tolerate this. He comes up to my door and brings things to the Queen and he is walking on the sacred ground of the Kingdom. There are others that we do accept, he brings this square box with the most ridiculously great smell that floats from it, the Queen calls it Pizza. Sometimes I have to beg for some of the crust, OH, it is Heaven to me. I have a difficult time when the knight in the brown suit runs back and forth in my kingdom, plopping these big boxes, that I cannot figure out what is in them. They may be things that would harm the residents receiving them, so I ask the Queen to let me smell them and see if there is a dangerous thing inside, but to my shagrin, nothing for me!! I still am very protective and the people entering the court, I must see who they are and the Queen will tell me, "don't get upset my sweet, they are invited guest here." Well I told Miss Spice and Miss Lizzie and all that we must watch carefully and of these people that jump in and out. I also like to mark my territory around the Kingdom but the Queen gets irritated if I mark on the "planties" as she says. I tell her, "But your Majesty, the plants are so good to mark and that helps in protectin' the Kingdom. Well, her tulips and lilies and all the rest of her "planties" will be poppin' up and I am still gonna do my things when she's not looking. See ya soon, Sir Spencer

OH, why is it soooooo cold yet in the Kingdom, but today it is spring, yaaaaahoooooo!!!! The Queen and I went for a walk this morning and I got to chase my favorite robins, they are many here. I like to jump and bark and tell them to "Get out you little buggers", The Queen got upset and said, "Sir Spencer, do not chase away the pretties of the Kingdom. "Well just as I was starting to behave, HE ARRIVES, the mangy, villian I have feared since time and memorium!!! The golden retriever from hell!!!!!!! He has broken into the Kingdom before and he is very naughty to the other ladies in the court. I growled and backed up to protect the Queen, he snorted and pawed at the ground, then, Sir Tuck came to the resue, the very large wheaten terrier, the bravest in the Court, he growled that deep and threatening growl and told the retriever to, leave or make ready for combat." Then Miss Lizzie, the small and frail, came running around the corner. I said, Miss Lizzie run!!!!!! The evil Randol, licked his lips and cooed and replied, "Oh, my sweet, come over and let me see you closer." I said, RUN,RUN,RUN and that is what she did." "Sir Tucker, rared up and pulled his sword and held it up and said, "fight or take the consequences." I know that the mean Randol has threatened before, that he would get the Queen. I watched as Sir Tucker strode forward, and Randol decided to back down and run away, as he did, he said, "I will be back." The Queen led us back to the Castle and the day was truly harried but we then had a spring treat and was given the greatest
affection from the King and Queen and had a great dinner of our favorite, chicken!!!!! Happy Spring my friends.

Oh, those evil predators are back, they invade our Mr. Oak Tree, and use him as a gathering place, just outside the castle walls. I went running to the Queen for help. She said, "use whatever sources you need." These invaders are black as cold and they have priercing eyeballs abd watch us and they swoop down to peck and swauk at the little ones.
I called for Sir Brady and for Sir Winston our friesd from the ajoining kingdoms. They are invaded by the devils too. We waited until the day they are the worst, garbage day, The make a huge mess all about the kingdom. We considered our options, a full out assault or a sneaky secret operations. We chose the full on attack. Well, all of the ladies and knights together and waited in the morning mist at the gate of the kingdom. Then they appeared, sitting cocky in the tree squawing to one another. They began to penetrate to the trash and we hit had jumping and biting and barking and pouncing, theybegan their assault, swooping and pecking and screaming to let them alone. I barked then leave our kingdom. The leader began to screech and the Queen came out with her broom and parried with the leader, with her broom set high she said, "no more shall you attack this kingdom, or you will be bannished and you evil soldiers will be heckled and chased until they are exhausted and the knights of this kingdom will take care of all of you." "This is a warning." "The King is in the kingdom and you must not mess with him!"
"We will leave you kingdom, if you only allow use to fly over, because we marvel at the beauty of the oak tree here." "You may visit the oak tree but you must never cause trouble again, or bring on your doom."
"agreed, your majesty." "WE WILL HAVE YOUR HIDE", said Sir Spencer. "You will abide by the rules", said the Queen. An agreement was set and the future will bring out another update, if they persist. "I am going to watch them with my possessive nature and they will never do anything in this kingdom, or they will see my brave determination, this kingdom must be protected." Thanks for your continued support. Sir Spencer
