Likes:
Noah loves to go with us in the car. My husband takes me everywhere and Noah and Jazzy come along. Ron, my husband stands or walks the dogs outside whatever store I'm in and everyone visits with the dogs.

Pet-Peeves:
Noah doesn't like it when you ignore him. He goes out of his way to get your attention. He'll grab something he shouldn't have and prance right in front of me with it in his mouth and look me in the eye as if to say, "just how badly do you want this?"

Favorite Toy:
Anything he isn't suppose to have

Favorite Food:
Noah eats everything. He's literally a "pig". He's a counter surfer and the only place that food is safe is in he over or microwave. I can't begin to tell you how many dinners we've lost because he's stolen the food. Jazzy is not food motivated at all

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere that there's lots of people to fuss over him

Best Tricks:
Noah will grab something he shouldn't have and then when I get it away from him, he'll run and steal a sandwich I'm eating or food I'm preparing

Arrival Story:
We had lost our Leonberger, Barney and decided several months later to get a puppy. We did a search and found an excellent breeder in northern Wisconsin. We filled out all the paperwork and waited for the puppies to be born. On Easter Sunday, 2007, I received a telephone call from our breeder stating that my baby boy had been born. We made the 12 hour trip (one way) up to Wisconsin to pick out a puppy and then another trip (12 hrs. one way) to pick up our bundle of joy! We also transported his brother Griffin for a gal who lives in Cleveland, who we've become good friends with. At the age of 6 months, my husband thought that Noah needed a sister. Normally I would have been the one to want another dog, but after puppyhood with Noah - who thought I was his littermate - I just couldn't bear the thought of going through that again so soon. He was a devil on 4 legs! So, my huband decided we should get Noah a sister the same age as he was - 6 months old. Friends of ours had (at that time) two Great Pyrenees dogs (they now have three)and they adopted them so we decided to do the same. We made a trip to Indianapolis, IN and took Noah with us. He picked out Jasmine and it was love at first sight!

Bio:
Noah's sire was the Grand Champion of Canada one year and he was extremely large. Noah is just like his daddy! HUGE! Jasmine (we call her Jazzy for short) was very thin when we got her. She came to IGPR from Bowling Green, KY. She had lived next to a farm and use to chase the farmer's cows and the farmer would shoot at her. The owners turned her into the pound and the pound made a call to IGPR and they rescued her. She was very hand-shy when we got her and you couldn't pat her unless you came up from under her chin. She was extremely skittish and only seemed comfortable when she was outside playing with Noah. Now? Well, she's settled in very nicely. She's still on the small side, but last time weighed, she was 95.7 pounds. Noah was over 130 the last time he was weighed and he was only a year and a half - so we don't really know just how big he'll get. He's very long, very tall - a big ole moose! But Jazzy and Noah are always together. My husband was right about getting Noah a sister. I'm no longer the one who takes his abuse when he wants to play. Jazzy holds her own with Noah and to tell you the truth, I think she rules the roost.
