I past my final exam and got my diploma from puppy school. I now have a barkalaureate in doggy disciplinary arts like Rosie. She came to watch me take my test. I did really good. My birthday was awesome. I got cake and a 1/2 hamburger from the grill. We finished the cake off tonight. I'm awesome!

Happy Birthday To Me!

I am one year old today! Well, sometime in July so what better day to have a birthday than July 4th? Yesterday we drove to the doggy bakery and got my cake and ice cream. And then I found out that I'm getting a real hamburger.

I'm also graduating from puppy school tomorrow with my barkalaureate in doggy disciplinary arts. Rosie says this is a big deal, but that the hamburger is a bigger deal. She asked dad why she never got a hamburger on her birthday. He said she was getting a burger too, and that he would make her burgers on her birthday too. Apparently all is forgiven.

So I'm getting ready for my little party. Dad says you only turn 1 once so I should enjoy it. I think I will.

My New Life

Well, I've been in my new home for close to four months now. I'm still trying to get used to it. I'm what Dad calls the most difficult puppy phase: crazy, undisciplined, and chewy. I like to chew stuff. I try to stick to my toys, but sometimes the call of the quilt, shoes, tissues, mail, paper towels, the cats...it's all too much and sometimes I let myself go.

Mama couldn't take it any more and said I have to go to school. I started last week. I was VERY nervous and tried to jump in Mama's lap, hid under her stool, and had my tail between my legs most of the time. I haven't gone anywhere without Rosie really so I was a little scared without her there to protect me. But I did all my stuff and was very well behaved. Dad says I'm very food motorated. I don't know what that means, or if I said it right, but if it involves me getting food I'm there. Rosie says that I don't have to do anything unless there's food involved.

I got my first manicure last week too, which Dad is glad about because Rosie won't let anyone touch her feet.

This week I've got my first real vet appointment too. Rosie's coming too, YAY!

Dad says he still misses Isabel. I try to cheer him up when he's sad and sleep behind him on the pillows when I get to sleep out of my crate.

Yeah, life is pretty sweet here. I wish Isabel was still here though. She sounds like a great dog, but Dad says I'm great too. I agree!

To The Vetrimanarian

I had to go to the vetrimanarian to get my stitch out from my hysterect...hysterect...the thing where they take out your uterus. And I had to get wormed. I have tape worms that come out of my butt. While we were there we met a guy and his new dog. His dog died when she was hit by a car, just like Dad. So they talked, and I got to play with the puppy! I love the puppy! I love everybody!

I love Rosie! She loves to wrestle! She taught me how to sit. She also takes my toys, and eats my food if she gets done before me. Rosie says that this is okay and not to worry about it. Dad says he's going to feed us in separate rooms for a little while like he did with her and Isabel. Rosie is also showing my how to greet the cats without getting slapped in the face. She's a good teacher.

I LOVE ROSIE! She's my hero!

Starting a New Life

I've been in my new for three days. This place has everything! There's another dog to play with. Her name is Rosie. She likes to wrestle with me, smack my face when I cross the line, take my toys, and lick my food bowl. She's tough but fair.

There are all these little dogs too. They hiss at me a lot and bop me in the face when I try to play with them. They're weird.

Rosie told me about her sister Isabel. She says that Isabel was the bestest sister ever, but that she'd show me the ropes and take care of me. We play and wrestle and things. I think she still misses Isabel a lot, but she's been pretty nice to me. She taught me how to sit, and how to get out of the car. She also taught me how to find the best bunny poops in the yard, and led me to the cat cookie factory when Dad's back was turned.

I have to sleep in a crate, but at least I get to be in the same room with my family. I peed in my crate while being left alone for the first two days, but today I stayed dry. We tried a couple of new things today that seemed to help me not be so anxious. I'm really good at holding in my pee, but I wasn't used to being left without these new people. Rosie says that after what Dad went through with Isabel's separation anxiety that I'm a piece of pie.

I get kongs and cookies, and all kinds of stuff. I also like socks, and Rosie has turned me on to underwear. I really like those too. This is gonna be awesome.
