Camping!

I wanted to share with you something special! I went camping!! On saturday we went to the park where we normally go for walks, but it was different, because all the family had huge bags, except me of course. When we got there, we put up a big tent, and they got out all the things from the bags, beds, my bowl, and they even remembered my teddy!!
I ran around and barked at the other dogs a bit (but not too much, mum was being careful not to get me too close, but as they were all off lead it was a bit tricky).
I met lots of new children, who all stroked me and played games, which was really good cause usually they scare me a bit and I have to bark to get them away.
Then when it started to get dark, mum put me in the tent and sat with me while I fell asleep.
I don't know what happened after that, but when I woke up, mum put me back on my lead and we ran around the park before anyone woke up, it was great having the whole park to myself, and by the time the other dogs woke up, I didn't feel like barking at them! I was so well behaved that mum let me off lead, so I ran to play with the other dogs, but of course, I had to bark, so mum called me back. After a while she let me go back to play, but I barked again, so this time she just called me back, and I came back!!
I thought this was what she expected, after all, she called me, but she looked shocked and the whole family cheered and gave me cuddles, they even let me have the end of their breakfast and a small bit of tea, I loooove tea. So I liked that so much that after that, if they let me go play, I came straight back if they called.
Now they say they might even let me off lead for a little while on normal walks, cause its not like its close to a road, and I have proven I can come back.

BBQ

Today I went to my nannys house! That's my favourite place because the garden is closed in well and I can run and run as much as I like.
But today it was even better, because there was a barbeque!! That means that if I bounce about enough I get burgers! I had 3 burgers and 2 sausages, nobody thought I could eat it, but I did!
My mum gave up trying to train me on the way home because I was too full, I did end up nose to nose with a bulldog though, I tried to be polite and sniff, but I soon ended up scaring him away.
That's cause I'm tough!

My long walk

I'm getting pretty big now, for a chihuahua, so I was allowed to go to the hills for a walk. Mum said maybe an hour, and there would be rabbits, birds, squirrels, and bluebells!
It all started well, I climbed the first hill great, and was so tired when I got to the top that I stood right next to a border collie and didn't even grumble!
Then we set out for hill number two, the path was boring, and I got my energy back and started barking at all the puppies! The family decided it was best to leave the path and find our own way there, after all, they knew the way!
An hour later I realized we were lost. Mum had to cross a load of streams by laying logs across them, and she said I did super well with my balance, I even worked my way through a bunch of muddy patches and boggy bits. And people say I'm a handbag dog!!
Four hours later and we finally found a road, we were so relieved!
In all I walked at least 3 miles, probably more since I doubt mum and dad have enough sense of direction to walk in a straight line!
I got a bunch of table scraps that night, which I'm never allowed, so I must have done something good right?
