Pet-Peeves: Zakk is pretty cool, I cant think of any pet peeves.....Wait! I thought of one, Zakk is the only lab I know that HATES riding in the car. He hides his head between the seats like an ostrich and cries the whole ride. It makes Vet trips a nightmare.
Favorite Toy: Rocks!!! No matter how hard we try, he wont fetch a ball, only rocks
Favorite Food: EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!
Favorite Walk: Usually the yard, We took him to the beach once he had enough after about 15 minutes
Best Tricks: sitting for a cookie, and when Mommy throws her arms open and sings, "It's Mommy and Zakky time" he comes running and jumps up on the couch and throws himself on his back in my arms for tummy rubs
Arrival Story: We wanted a playmate for Ozzy. They are best brothers! We got Zakk in Dover NH at 8 weeks. He was completely house trained, we were amazed. He was such a peanut when we got him its hard to believe he's as huge as he is.
Bio: Zakk is the total opposite of his brother Ozzy. While Ozzy is extremely hyper, Zakk is more content to lie on you like dead weight and cuddle. He's not a barker at all and I'm not sure if thats because he's embarrassed by how much he sounds like a harbor seal when he does let loose and call out his brothers to romp and play, or because he just doesnt see the need to yell like that..He will not protect you, he's more apt to run and hide in the bedroom until the coast is clear. He is like velcro to his mommy. I cant even go in the bathroom to take a shower without him crying outside the door.But he is incredibly smart and a great dog, such a breeze to bring up. Zakk is very photogenic and doesnt mind posing for the camera too much. That is until his brothers come in and try to wreck his picture pose.He's very quirky, I would love to know whats going on in that head of his. This obsession with Rocks has us completely thrown. We dont know how it started and really cant stop it. He has an endless supply hidden around the house. Everytime we take one away from him he goes away and comes back with another. He will just sit and stare at you. You would think he wants you to play with him but if you try to take his rock he tilts his head just out of your reach. Either that or he drops it in the middle of your lap and just stares at it. Anyone that comes to our house asks how we ended up with three nutty dogs. They each have their own issues and somehow I'm the one that always gets blamed because I baby them so much and treat them like children. They honestly believe they are children. (I guess it is kinda my fault)Zakk is named after Zakk Wylde of Ozzy Osbourne and Black Label Society. Zakk's AKC name is actually Zakk's Wylde Black Lab Society. We Love Ozzy Osbourne. So all are little guys are named after him and his guitarists. Zakk has two dog brothers, Ozzy and Jake and a human brother Keith who is his favorite!!! When Keith is here on the weekends, Zakk never leaves his lap. He is extremely affectionate, well behaved and very laid back. As I've said before, I cant imagine my life without my 3 boys by my side, they are my only "kids" and I love them so much!!!!

Zakky, Did I ever tell you that you are the best dog ever? Your arrival here wasnt exactly planned. If Keith's Mom hadnt almost killed his kitten ( by accident) we wouldnt've stepped up our search for a little brother for Ozzy when we did. We drove all the way to Dover to look at the lab puppies and once Keith saw you that was it. We all fell in love with your tiny little face.I remember how confident you were, you came into the house a tiny little peanut and took completely over. Nothing bothered you, not even the big drooly foaming at the mouth Ozzy spazzing about this little tiny black thing walking around his house like he'd been there forever. Not once did you ever have an accident in the house, you eventually won Oz over and you became best buds. I remember scooping you up and lying you on my chest watching tv and letting you fall asleep to my heartbeat. Who knew then that you would be the biggest of all your brothers and still to this day try to sleep like that with me. You are the most lovable, cuddly, attached to my hip, laid back boy I have ever met. You never bark, unless you want to play or get past Jake,and even then you sound like a seal. You could care less if the neighbors dogs are outside and just about roll your eyes when your brothers tear into the windows to bark at them. Since the first day you got here your tail has wagged nonstop when you see food. I think you might even love it more than your Mommy and Daddy.
I love how you are constantly with me no matter what room I go into, how you sit outside the bathroom door and cry for Mommy to come back out, how you throw yourself into our laps with all fours up in the air and sleep all comfortable. I even love how silly you are with that stupid dog drool drenched egg you need to have with you at all times. I know being a middle child isnt always easy being sandwiched between two head cases like your brothers but know that you are loved just as much as they are and my life would not be complete without you. You are the sweetest funniest most beautiful black lab EVER!!!!!!!
