My Very Own Kitty!

My momma got me da bestest present yesterday, and it wasn't even my birthday! It are my very own kitty named Charlie! He are a kitty dat was living outside at da apartment complex, his peoples had abandoned him when dey moved. And some of da people in da complex had been feeding him, but did not have a real home. And some people weren't so nice to him and would trash his water bowls and let dere dogs chase him and stuffs. So momma thought he needed a home and since I needed a kitty, it was a perfect match.

Momma took him to da vet and got him his shots and stuff. Da vet said he was pretty healthy, but he is underweight. Momma says she bet she can fix dat one. He spent a lot of the day in Ally's room, but he did come out. I tried to go sniff him and stuffs but he did dat funny kitty growl at me - momma says I needs to give him time and not be so pushy and dat we'll be friends soon. I say, let's be friends now! I just need to get him to agree to dat . . .

Happy Birthday Finley!

Today it are my BFF Finley's birthday! She are six today and she got a whole ton of new toys. I got to play with them a little before she left to go back to Plano. She even got to take Maurice with her, and I think that is probably da bestest birthday present.

P.S. - I got some news on da kitty front. See, there are this kitty at da apartment complex who was abandoned a couple years ago. People feeds him and stuff but he don't have no home. Momma says she are taking him to da vet and if he is all healthy, I may be getting another kitty. Dis kitty is named Charlie and he are a light orange kitty. So pupses, keep your paws crossed dat Charlie are a healthy kitty, ok??

My kitty luv Maurice and his momma Ally are gonna move! Dey got all dis stuff packed up and it are not looking good pups. Ally got all graduamatated from da University of Texas last weekend and now her and Moe is going back to Plano. Dis are nod good guys, I am gonna be stuck here with just my momma. Dat same momma I been ignoring for Ally for months. And no kitty to love??? What's a pup to do??? Maybe I could hide da keys, den dey would have to stay with me. Plus Finley and her momma who are down here helping with da movin junk. Even better, I could chew on the keys. Y'all know how I love gnawing on da metal. Hmmms, I gotta go plan, if any pupses has some good strategery, lemme know!

Da Fiesta Pooch Parade

Not dis day, but da dat day called Saturday, me and Finley gots to be in da Fiesta Pooch Parade in San Antonio! And we gots to meet our pals, Ebby and Ceeley!

It was so much fun! Ebby didn't tell me dat da streets of San Antonio were paved in dog treats! I think she's been keepin' dat secret to herself, but now I knows. It was so much fun!

Momma was kinda worried I'd be a barkaholic and try to fights other dogs, but I proved her wrong and didn't bark nobody once we got to da parade. I was to busy havin' fun! Me and Finn got to meet Ebby and Ceeley, and dey are some real cute and sweet pups. Dat Ebby grin is even better in person!

And da treats on dat parade, well dat was tons of fun. One lady even let us pick out own treat out of dis basket. I guess we is so cute dat people throw treats at us in da parade instead of da other way around. Dere were all kinds of dogs in crazy costumes and on wagon floats, it was so much fun. And da kids!! I got lots of pets from da kids!!

Maurice is home!

Maurice came home late on Wednesday night! I am so happy to have him back! He's doing pretty good so far, he has some medicines and stuff to take, but he seems to be doing pretty good.

But dat vet sure groomed him funny - they shaved his leg, his belly, and his tail. Da tail part are actually pretty funny and it have been making momma laugh.

Maurice Update

Hey y'all! A couple days ago I barked about my kitty luv Maurice being in da hospital because he had a urinary blockage. He are still in da hospital and I am missing him bad. Momma says he is getting better and was back to being himself today when she and Ally went to go see him. Da vet says da catheter (shouldn't it be cat-a-ter in dis situation?) is gonna come out tomorrow afternoon and Maurice may be able to come home tomorrow night. I sure hope so, I miss him something bad. I can tell my momma and Ally went to go see him because they smelled like him, but for some reason, dey didn't take me along. I woulda liked to go, but no one asked me. :( Anyways, it are lonely here without my kitty and I's been having to lick Ally something big - like double overtimes on lickings! So thanks for all da POTPs for Maurice, it are working.

In other news, Jezebel turned 19 yesterday! Wow, dat is pretty old, almost as old as Ally! Her are also a DDP today, so congrats to her for both of dose things! Way to go Jezzy!

My Buddy Maurice is in the Hospital

My kitty luv Maurice is in da hospital right now. He'd been having a hard time going pee and it turned out he had a blockage, so he is at da emergency vet. I miss him a lot and hopes he be ok. My momma just called to find out how he was doing and they got him unblocked, but the vet said it was a difficult blockage to remove and his bladder was filled with bloody urine. And it was also really huge. So please say a pawrayer and send him some POTP, ok?? Thanks pups!

Easter

So pupses, I had a pretty good Easter. My BFF Finley came to visit me and we had a whole lotta fun. We got in lots of barkin' and playin' and we went on two walks while she was here. I got to show her dose tasty chickens I am always seeing on my walk. I tried t tell my momma we should have some chicken for Easter dinner and dat I knew where to get it, but she didn't listen.

And I even got an Easter present, a bunny stuffed animal to play with! My momma has some of those candies and stuff, but she are not sharing because she are selfish like dat.

It are kinda quiet here without Finley now. But at least I got a new stuffed animal to play with. Hope y'all had a happy Easter!

Okla-Wonderful

So tonight me and momma watched my favoritist movie. Do you know what is is?? It are about dat place where I was borned - Oklahoma! I loves Oklahoma so much - I get so happy just when da music starts playing. My ears perk up and I start smiling, and I are no usually a smiley dog. But Oklahoma makes me smile. It are the only movie I watch - I do not really watch any kinds of TV at all. But I loves Oklahoma. My favoritist part of all is when dey start singing da Oklahoma song. I guess I are just an Oklahoma girl.

Momma sometimes calls me Okla-charisma because da state of Oklahoma had some funny commercials a couple years ago where dey were putting Okla before all kindsa words - like Okla-beauty and Okla-wonderful and momma's favorite, Okla-charisma. She sometimes also says I gots Okla-intelligence but I don't think that's a compliment coming from a seventh generation Texan like her. But I's got Okla-pride, so I don't let it bother me.

My Trip Home and Other Stuffs

Hey pups! I been pretty busy lately. I been trying to make my momma write more, but she are needin' to borrow Zaidie's momma's vodka drip or something because she are all up on the ceiling. Something about jobs or something - I am not sure. I don't understand why humans want dose jobs anyway, they seem to take up valuable playing and walking and snoozing time.

Anyways, last weekend, me and momma went back to Plano. And I got to see my BFF Finley! It was tons of fun - instead of Finn stealing my toys, I got to play with all MY toys there (momma says dey are Finley's toys but what do momma know). And I got to bark up da old neighborhood good. It needs lotsa barkin' and I'm sure Finley are doing a pretty good job, but a little extra barkin' never hurt anything except for momma's ears. BOL BOL!

I been gettin' lotsa walks and stuffs here - and chasing chickens and squirrels and birds and stuff and it are tons of fun! Hope all y'all are havin' a good weekend!
