It has been nice weather for the last two days. Yesterday it was about 54 degrees. Mom and I took our walk on the river tail. We made it all the way to the rocks this time! It was still muddy in places, but the snow is all gone. The whole trail was passable. Mom sat on the rocks for a few minutes and we enjoyed looking at the river. We met another woman and her dog, but the woman didn't want to let us greet each other. Mom tried to explain that I can't always meet other dogs.

Today we went for an extra long walk! Mom didn't want to do the river trail again so she took me to another trail. This one is a one mile nature loop trail that is also close to our house. We have to walk about a mile to get to it. It was very peaceful in the woods. Mom followed the white marks on some of the trees. She told me that is how we stay on the right trail. Some trees had orange marks but we didn't follow those. Lots of wonderful, wild smells in the woods. Things are starting to come back to life after the long Winter. Mom and I saw some Downy Woodpeckers! They were pretty! Today it was even warmer. It was about 56 degrees. Mom just wore her sweatshirt. We walked for about an hour! I am tired now. I had a lot of fun, but it is good to be back home.
