I am so glad that the weather is getting better. Yesterday, mom and dad took me to a Greyhound Adventures walk at the Minute Man Park in Lincoln. It is only 20 minutes from our house. It was a nice sunny day with no clouds in the sky. The wind was cold but it was 50 degrees out. About 30 or 40 dogs came! I got to see some old friends who I haven't seen in awhile. Louise, Zero and Brutus where there! Johnny B and Sonie came too! We went on an hour walk along the trails. I had a lot of fun. Daddy said that I greeted every single dog who was there. I think he was right! After the walk, mom and dad went to the visitor's center to try to find a garbage can. There weren't any at all! Mom, dad and I were going to visit Grampy in NH and mom and dad didn't want to have to transport my bags in the car for over an hour. Mom and dad think they stink. They don't bother me at all! I guess humans just don't enjoy good smells like we do! Mom and dad stopped at a place called McDonalds. We didn't buy anything there. Mom said the food they sell isn't healthy. Daddy deposited my bags in their garbage can! From there we went to NH. Mom and dad were hungry so I had to wait in the car for a few minutes while they had lunch. It was nice out and they left the windows open a bit for me. There was a nice cool breeze. I just napped. They weren't gone long. Mom says that soon it will be too hot for me in the car. After lunch we went to the pet store. I like this pet store. They sell these peanut butter cookies there. Mom and dad can't find them at the stores where we live. When we visit Grampy we always buy a couple of bags. Mom also bought cat food for Aunt Blackie, a cookie for me and a long pork stick. When we went to pay for the things we bought, the lady behind the counter asked daddy if he wanted to round up the bill to the nearest dollar to help a greyhound rescue!!! The only problem was that it would only be a penny! Mom asked if we could donate a dollar instead. The lady said that we couldn't because it didn't work like that. Mom looked around and grabbed a lollipop treat for 39 cents. That way we could at least give 60 cents to the greyhound rescue! While we were line people were asking about me. Since we were in NH, everyone knew about the race track I used to run at. I felt like a local celebrity!
