Arrival Story:
I had always wanted a dog after our Bouvier des Flandres passed away. We had spent about a year or so looking around at Labrador Retriever breeder, Wheaten Breeders, Wheaten Rescues, and general rescues and shelters. Not once did we mean to get a Golden Retriever. One summer my dad found out that his law partner could no longer keep his 2 year old female Golden Retriever. My dad had opened an email entitled "Aubrie needs a good home". What turned into a spur-of-the-moment decision changed my life forever. Aubrie came home the summer of 2004 to the surprise of my mom, my sisters, and me. I don't know where I would be without Aubrie. I owe all of my success in dog showing and training past, present, and future, to this special girl.

Bio:
I started training Aubrie in the fall of 2006 as something to do. I had my eyes set on agility, though I didn't know we would never continue that dream together. Aubrie earned her first title in 2007: a CD. Needless to say, I was thrilled. Aubrie has since received a CGC and 3 more titles in 2008: a U-CD, RN, and RA. Though we are "retired" in obedience, I look forward to showing in the rally rings this year and maybe starting some preferred agility. *Update* 2009 is going great! Aubrie now has 2 RE legs and 1 NJP leg. It turns out Aubrie girl CAN start an agility career at almost 7 years old! : ) Aubrie is such a proper lady. She enjoys the company of Layla, though would never admit it! She is too lady-like to engage in all that nonsense, including play dates with all of the girls' "guy friends". She is so sweet and wants to be petted more than anything, even peanut butter sometimes.
