My new home....

Dear Mom,
Well, I have been here almost two weeks now. Life is good here... it is much quieter than home, but, trust me, quiet is nice!!! It took quite a while for my lovely Chloe La Rue to really start playing with me... I think we both thought I was only visiting? But, now we are good buddies and Mum and Dad call us the Twins! We think that is cute and are planning to use it to our advantage... pretty soon they will think they are seeing double, hehehe!
Sinclair and Mr Big are okay... we all try to keep out of each other's way but they are pretty good dogs, too. They do have lots of nice toys and as long as I leave Sinclair's new tennis balls alone, I am fine. I can play with them AFTER he gets the squeaky out, though! Sort of reminds me of Toto and his stuffies!
It is really strange to have a Dad here! I am getting pretty used to him... I am still nervous, but he is very nice to me and he is not pushing me to be his friend too fast. I am getting more and more comfortable and pretty soon, I will love him just like I do Mum. Speaking of, she is really, really nice, Mom! You did a good job finding each other for me. I am sure there is no other home I would ever be as happy in as I am here. Everything is quiet and calm, and she is really nice and loving to me. I knew right away I would love her, and sure enough, I do! She has made me a part of the family and that is really nice, too. I am trying really hard to be as good as I can be. I remember all the stuff you taught me. Sometimes I get a little homesick, but then Chloe and I go outside and play and I feel better.
And, I sure do not miss all that snow and ice!!! You know that I always LOVED the Summer more than the Winter! I can see no earthly good for snow... warm rain is so much nicer and, well, warmer! I love that we can go outside and walk on grass, even in the Winter. CLR says it will get pretty hot in the Summer here, but I bet I won't mind that as much as I minded the snow!!! We can stay inside with the AC... they have to have AC here, don't they?
Well, Mom, I have to go now, it's time for our supper. Did you know that Mum cooks dinners for us? That is soo cool. I bet I am even gaining some weight here! Be sure to say hello to M. Ali, and Toto and Beanie and Georgie and everyone else there from me. I do miss them, but I do not want to come back to New Hampshire!!! I love being a Texan! And... tell them I do not miss my crate one little bit, hehehe!

Mom's gone home.....

Well, Mom and Julie came over yesterday afternoon and said goodbye to me! Mom is so happy that Chloe La Rue's Mom and Dad are so nice and that I am already very comfortable there. Of course, I will need some adjustment time, but Mom says there could not ever be a more perfect home for me!!! She said both my new Mom and Dad are calm, thoughtful, DOG people and it was more than worth the 4000 mile trip out here to bring me.

I meet my new family!!!!!

This morning we got up and went for another ride!! It was warm and sunny and I was liking that a lot! Finally after driving thru some hills and trees and seeing a bunch of deer, we got to a house. Mom and Julie and I went inside, and I finally met my true love, Chloe La Rue!! We went outside and we played a bit, then came back inside. I was having a hard time playing because I was exploring the new place. They have lots of cool toys... I wanted to play with a few of them, but I was too busy looking at everything!!! I met Mr Big and Sinclair... they were pretty nice but Sinclair wouldn't let me have his chewie!!!! Mom and Julie had a great lunch with Chloe's Mom, I know cuz I got some of the chicken!!! Then, Mom and Julie left and I stayed here. Soo, now I am pretty tired but I am pretty nervous, too, so it's hard to go to sleep.
Mom and Julie are coming in the morning and they are bringing Georgie, too. Hmmm, should I ignore them, or should I show off my new friends and my new house???? Big decision!!! I'll let you know tomorrow!!!!

I am in LA, as in Louisiana.

Guess what??? It's warm here!!! Mom and Julie think it's warm but all the locals are wearing heavy jackets and gloves and hats!!! Mom says it's all relative.
This morning we had to scrape snow off the car and we were all the way down to near the bottom of Alabama. We can't remember the town, they all run together after a while. Anyway, today we went over 700 miles!! Mom and Julie wanted to visit New Orleans. They said it is very sobering... they were sorry to see it but glad in a way that they did. The travel lady sent them right thru the really hard hit areas.
Tomorrow we are going to be in Austin and I may meet Chloe and her family, unless we wait to meet them until Tuesday... we don't know yet, cuz we need to talk to Chloe's Mom. My sister Georgie is being excellent... she is quiet and good all day long in her crate, then she runs and runs and runs in the motel when we get there at night. Not me, I am sleeping on the bed with Julie, I am very tired!!!
Well, gotta go now, Mom is going to make us go outside now. Catch ya later!!

Ready to travel???

I guess we are pretty much ready to hit the road first thing in the morning. Well, after Mom lugs everything out to the car... gee, hope it all fits!!!! It is too cold to put stuff in tonight cuz it will freeze so it's all in a pile waiting for morning. Mom says she's going to be exhausted before she even leaves the driveway!!! And, she has to take Harvey and Condi and Walter with us as far as the handler guy's house cuz they are staying there. Did I mention that little sis, Georgie is traveling with us?? Yup... Mom asked Chloe La Rue's Mom if they wanted us to bring her along in case my operation didn't fix me well enough. We won't know that until we get there cuz I still will have the stitches in it. Maybe they will keep us both??? Five is a good number, especially if we're all toys!!! Me and Georgie play nicely together now, and we would sure LOVE to have Chloe La Rue join in with us. And, Mom says we will even play with Mr. Big and Sinclair. Could be a bunch of fun!!!! Mr. Stuffed Shirt Beanie and his friend George won't play with any of them, I bet! They think they're much better than us young'uns. Hrumph... they will just have to stay at Mom's Aunt's house while we go play with our new friends!!! Did you know that Mom's Aunt lives in the same place as Chloe La Rue??? Mom is happy that she's going to visit with her cuz she hasn't seen her for years and years.
Well, gotta go get ready for bed... Mom said we could go to bed early. Did you know that only me and Beanie are in the house tonight??? Well, Harvey and Condi and Walter and Georgie are in here but they are in the dog room, not out here with us. WE are special!!!!!!

OMD... only need THREE more visits for 2500!!!!!!

Hello, if you are reading this, thank you very much... you will make it so I only need TWO more visits. I am sure wishing I had me a nice juicy bully stick!!! Mmmmm, good! I would feel all better if I had one of those!!!!

Feeling better today...

I guess if you have surgery enough times you will start to get feeling better faster each time! Today I was pretty normal. I went off to work with Mom and I helped myself to a box she had in the grooming room. She was nice enough to get a fuzzy blanket for me to snuggle with in "my" box. Since I do not walk when I am wearing that stupid pee belt, I pretty much stayed in the box all day. Well, that is until Mom got done grooming, then I went and hopped in my work chair and stayed there the rest of the time. Well, I did race into the break room whenever it was evident that Mom and Tonya were headed that way!!! When I limp and squirm from the pee belt Mom keeps reminding me that it is that or the dreaded e-collar or cone!!! Trust me, I immediately start walking correctly and stop grimacing!!! They put one of those cone collars on me while I was waking up in the hospital... it was enough to make me go right back to sleep permanently!!! Those things are cruelty to animals, IMO!!!!
I guess Mom and Julie are getting worried about a Nor'easter coming on Friday. They are thinking they will have to leave here Thursday afternoon to miss the snow. I dunno, it seems to me that they will be driving right into the storm if they do that, but, I'm just a dog, what do I know????
And, it seems that Georgie might be hitching along with us to meet Chloe La Rue and her family. That'll be fun, George AND Georgie... sounds kind of confusing to me, but I won't worry, I will be sleeping in Julie's arms!!!

2500 Visitors?????????

OMD, In my grogginess, I didn't notice that I am most likely to hit 2500 visitors tomorrow. Gee, I hope I feel well enough to chew on my bully stick that Mom will give me. Maybe I better opt for the raw Stella & Chewy's beef patty instead?
Anyway, everyone come on over and visit my page and help me win some good treats!!!!!

Aghhhhhhhh, Surgery again!!!!

Jee whiz, I have got to learn not to trust people so much!!! Today Mom took me up the hill to visit the vet's office again. I should have known it wasn't going to be good, but, no, he walked in and I jumped right into his arms. I am sure not scared of him, for some reason! Anyway, he and Mom looked and looked and looked at my booboo, and he finally sighed and said he wanted to do one more "LITTLE" operation. He and Mom discussed it, and they decided it would be fine cuz Mom could take out my stitches before I go to visit Chloe La Rue on Tuesday. Did they ask me if it would be fine??? NOPE!!
So, Mom left me there, next thing I knew, I was waking up sore again. I was still very groggy but Mom came and got me cuz it was getting night time and she didn't want me to stay up there. Soo, I got home, sat in Jenny's watch chair, and Mom put a pee belt on me to "protect my wound from me licking it", she says! She just did that to torture me some more!!!! Anyway, next thing I knew, I fell out of the chair so Mom put me in my snuggle sack in my crate. I am pretty dizzy so I guess I will stay in here tonight. If I remember correctly, I should be able to milk this one for a while, and, if I'm really lucky and squint my eyes a bit, Julie will hold me all the way to Texas!!!! Wish me luck!!!

Busy beavers.........

We are all busy beavers this weekend. Mom is rushing around trying to get everything together for our trip and I am rushing around playing with Skye cuz she is visiting for the weekend. I have to bring her all my toys and stuff so she can admire them. Mom said she didn't know I loved kids so much!!!!
It was really hard last night cuz Skye sleeps in the same room as Mom and I couldn't decided whether to sleep on her bed or Mom's bed. I had to keep running back and forth from one to the other. Finally Mom put my snuggle sack (the one from Chloe La Rue), on her bed so I hopped IN that and slept the rest of the night away. Poor Beanie had to go in his crate cuz he kept barking at Skye.
Today Mom and Skye made me a PERFECT toto bag to carry my stuff to my new home in. It is a big canvas bag and they put MY picture and MY name on it. And, Skye made one for her with her favorite, Toto, on hers.
They went up to the store in a snowstorm and left us all here. We were hoping they wouldn't get stuck and leave us all alone!!! Mom bought a few things for the trip. She puts everything in the guest room... man, it doesn't look to me like it's all going to fit in the car!!!!
