Bio: Sweet little Precious has a real zest for life. Joie de Vivre! She was an impound stray at a high kill shelter and her charming personality shone though the difficult situation she was in.
When she went into foster care she had a cough and a funny way of eating and drinking water. She went to the vet, was given antibiotics for her cough and had blood work and an x-ray taken to diagnose the difficulty she was having drinking water. The chest x-rays revealed nothing unusual and another set of x-rays under anesthesia were taken and the vet had a look down her throat. Still no diagnosis!
The veterinarian thinks she has had this condition a long time and has learned to compensate. Precious is able to eat dry kibble and her foster mom has figured out which ones are easy on her. At this point the vet has run out of options and has recommended she visit a specialist and get an endoscope. Unfortunately it is a very expensive procedure and funds are limited.
If you are reading this and Precious' story has touched your heart, would you consider a donation to help her get her endoscopy? Every little bit would help us reach the $1000 goal to get this procedure done.
Precious is approximately 5 years old with many years of love to give. She is in a foster home. Please call 503-292-6628 for more information.
Please note: due to our screening preference to view the potential home and interview the prospective guardian, we rarely adopt out of our local Portland metro area.
