Bio: Cocoa has had a tough road up until now. She was sold on craigslist, then bred to have a litter of puppies & when the puppies were old enough they were sold and she was surrendered to a high kill shelter.
Life is starting to look brighter now. Animal Aid took her in and spayed her so she doesn't need to have anymore babies and she is starting to blossom in the foster home that she shares with another dog and cat.
Her foster mom is working with her so she can gain some confidence and learn how to walk on a leash properly. Because of her exuberance small children might get knocked over, so a home with older children would be best. Even though her foster mom is working with her on her manners, an obedience class with her new people is recommended.
If you're looking for a running buddy and someone who will love you unconditionally, Cocoa could be the girl for you!
Cocoa's estimated birth year is 2007 and she weighs about 45 pounds. She is in a foster home. For more information on meeting Cocoa, please call 503-292-6628.
Please note: due to our screening preference to view the potential home and interview the prospective guardian, we rarely adopt out of our local Portland metro area.
