Arrival Story: My before dad couldn't take care of me anymore, so he took me to the North County Animal Control, near the Palomar Airport. The nice people there took a photo of my face and posted it on the internet. My now forever mom was looking for a female dog the same look and weight as Gus. Since my sex and size wasn't listed, she came to visit the next day. She really believed there would be a line out the door to adopt me, so she got there as soon as they opened. Well, she was a little disappointed that I am a boy, and I have short little legs and a really long body. Well, she told her husband and he decided they should come see me anyway. I was a mess, let me tell you. My hair was matted so badly that I could hardly walk, and my toenails were curling under my pads (ouch!), and I have to admit I smelled really bad, too. So they came into the holding pen and I knew immediately that this was going to be my forever family, so when the dad set down on the ground to get to my level, I just ran over and plopped down in his lap and gave him my bestest cute look. He said right then that I was going home with them that day! I was so excited! But then I found out I couldn't go home right away. I had to have what is called a medical grooming (shaved), and then I had to get fixed 'cause I guess something was broken. Well, they were able to come back and pick me up the very next afternoon, and let me tell you I was ready to go! I met Gus on mom's first visit and I am very happy that he is my big brother. I like to play with him by biting his legs and face (although mom doens't like that too much) and we play tug-0-war with the squeaky-toys, and I just have so much fun in my new home. I didn't know a dog could ever be so happy.

Bio: I sometimes can't figure out where my back-end is at. I'm like a trailer on a loose hitch in a wind storm.
Mom needs to upload better pictures than the ones with my short hair. I really am a PBGV!
