Arrival Story:
I adopted Sandy from the DRNA Dec. 21, 2007; such a very, very, very, very very, timid and quiet little girl!! They didn't know if she had vocal damage - she never made a sound her whole time with her Foster Mom. She finally made a little yip the 4 month I had her; when I would come home from "going bye-bye!". She now yips intermittently when I come home, and I have even heard her make a little growly talking noise at me when she wants to leave the bed to get a drink of water during the night! She is absolutely the most calm, cool, loving, and happy little dog I have ever seen!! She loves people, and needs to be the center of attention at all times. Her former owners (prior to DRNA) must have been abusive, as she does shy down if you approach with your hand up, or if you approach her food bowl while she is there she will run away, things like that... sad. She doesn't know how to "play" with toys, either; I don't believe that anyone ever played with her. I am making up for lost time, though!!!
