   Leave a bone for Boo

Booger, BooBoo, Booder, anything that starts with Boo...

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

July 16th 2008

I like my mommy and my sister Layla the most. I like to play with anything. I like to cuddle with my girls. I really like to clean my sister's ears. I like to bark at "intruders" or people that I think are intruders. I like to wrestle and act mean too.

I don't like when my grandma moves me off of one couch. I don't like when our backyard neighbors are outside, they are intruders into my line of sight. I don't like Ohio's cold cold cold winter's, I don't have enough body fat to keep me warm.

Favorite Toy:
I like all the toys my mommy gives me, but I usually like to steal whatever toy my sister has. If she doesn't have a toy, I like to chew on bones, makes squeaky toys squeak and chase balls around.

Favorite Food:
I like to find stuff in the trash can, this makes my mommy mad, she says it could kill me, but I like it anyway. I find q-tips in there, she says they clean ears too!

Favorite Walk:
I like to walk anywhere that my mommy and sister go!

Best Tricks:
I sit whenever I want my mommy to give me something. I haven't learned any cool tricks like my sister yet, mommy says I have too much energy. She says I will learn when it gets warmer out and I can burn more energy outside, I can't wait!

Arrival Story:
I had been looking online for ads for another puppy to join my boxer Layla to keep her company and I really had been wanting a white dog with a black eye. I was all about getting another boxer, but I doubted that I could find one with these specific markings, I thought I might have to settle for an American Bulldog since they are always coming in those markings. One day, I was searching puppies on, a classified online and saw a picture of a white boxer with a black eye; sureley he had to have already be taken, but I took my chances and emailed the seller. To my disbelief, he was still availavailable! I was talking back and forth with the seller, they were only 2 hours away, both parents were on site, he was AKC purebred etc.. I was stoked! There were only two problems: Mom and Dad, more the Dad part. You see, I was only 18 at the time, I am a college student living at home attending the local University, and so they would have to pay for yet ANOTHER one of my pets, and live with it until I was done with school. After all that settled down, My mom and I were in the car with Layla heading down to check this little guy out! I was so excited, but I had to remember that I had to judge all things fairly and not get him if things didn't seem right. The town where this family was located in is a bigger city than where we are from and not so nice, my mom and I were looking for the address and kept passing by a junkyard where my phone, with GPS, kept telling me that our destination was located. Eventually, we gave in, turned in to the junkyard, and pulled in to a little driveway and a little dilapidated house. My mom turned to me and asked if we could just leave. I told her that we owed them a chance, that it wasn't their fault that life was hard for them and it didn't mean they didn't have good dogs. I got out and rang the doorbell and nobody came to the door. A few moments later, a white boxer speckled with black dots, a black and white boxer, 3 pups (including my boobear) and a tiny young woman came around from the back of the house. All the dogs were very friendly and looked in good health. Boo was very friendly and affectionate to me. Mom got out of the car with Layla and she and Boo hit it off immediately. My mom and I decided that Boo looked healthy, gums, eyes, ears, temperment all seemed to be in good order. I told her that I didn't think I could find exactly what I was looking for anywhere else. She agreed. She got her checkbook out to write the check when the young lady's husband caught her to say that they only accepted cash, that someone had written a bad check and gotten a free puppy. We never even thought about that, luckily, Mom had gone to the bank just before the trip and had just enough cash to cover it. We closed the deal and I gathered my boxers and got in the back of our SUV in which I had put the seats down. I laid down with both of them since it was about 8:30 PM by this time and we slept the two hours it took to get home. When we got to our house, my parents yellow labs were interested in the pup and Layla protected him from a threat that wasn't really there. It was cute. I decided to give him a bath since he smelled of well, junkyard. While he was wet, I noticed that he had black spots on his skin that were moving, so I went on tick patrol and plucked every last one off. I also had to clean gunk from his ears and decided that the very next morning was time to schedule a vet visit. It was finally time for bed, I decided to put Boo and Layla in the same cage to make him more comfortable, there was plenty of room and they both slept through the night without a sound. :-)

Hi, I am Boo! I am a white Boxer with a black eye. I have a few black patches on my skin, but they are little and kind of hard to see. I am neutered, mommy prefers her dogs fixed, even though she didn't really have a choice since I had an undescended teste. If the nice vet didn't remove it, then it could have turned cancerous. Even since the surgery, I tend to get a little aggressive, something mommy is working hard on getting me past. I am a really affectionate dog other than that, I love to cuddle and play. I am really slow at growing and mommy hopes that I will catch up to my lanky sister.

Since I know you think I am so cute and want to see more pictures of me, mom made an online photo album of me and my doggie siblings.

She is a poor college student, that is why she doesn't have dogster plus, but I would appreciate it if you visited our album and left us comments to read!

Than ks!!
