Quick Bio:

Birthday:

Likes:
I like my mommy, my grandma, my boxer brother Boo, and my lab brother Hummer. I like to run realllllly fast. I like to play fetch, and I am really good at it. I like to wrestle, I dominate any boy dog. I like to cuddle a lot, I like to sit on laps.

Pet-Peeves:
I do not like when my brother bites my back legs, when mommy cleans my ears (it tickles), I don't like going potty in the rain, I don't like strange men (they scare me), I don't like being moved when I am sleeping (I switch posistions completely!).

Favorite Toy:
I like squeaky toys because I sing at them, I also like to chew on bones and water bottles. Balls are fun to chase and my little brother is fun to wrestle with.

Favorite Food:
Peanut butter and bananas, frozen poop doesn't taste bad either.

Favorite Walk:
I like to walk anywhere, but it is fun when we go to Michigan and I get to chase a fourwheeler through the woods, mommy calls it her grandma's, so I guess it is my Great-grandmas. I like it there.

Best Tricks:
I can sit, lay-down, speak all just by watching hand signals. I can jump through hoops, I am learning to sing on command instead of just at squeaky toys.

Arrival Story:
I was seventeen, recently diagnosed with a chronic illness and really wanted something of my own to love and take care of. I wasn't sure what breed I wanted, but I wanted a puppy. I had been reading our newspaper's classifieds, and I knew I had permission to get a medium-sized dog,I just had to find one. I found an ad one friday for AKC boxers. I took the ad to my mom and we researched the breed. I thought that they were really cute and liked everything about them except their health problems, but who I am to judge, I just got diagnosed with a chronic illness! haha. My mom and I called the number and found out that they had one brindle female left, and they asked if that was ok. I said I didn't care, I just wanted a puppy. We made an an appointment to go see them that night. When we got there, Annie, the brindle mom was doing her kidney bean dance and was very friendly and cute! they brought Layla out and I thought she was adorable! She didn't pay very much attention to me though, she was sniffing the new room that she was in. My mom thought she looked like a baby gorilla, and didn't think she was cute, but said it was up to me. I knew I had to have her. Along with Layla, they gave me a puppy bag with a collar, a toy, a blanket and some food. The blanket came in handy as she fell asleep in my arms on the hour drive home. About half way home, we stopped at a Petsmart to get a bed, food, cage, and toys. I didn't have a leash, so I carried her into the store and then she followed me around. I loved it, MY dog followed ME around, it was exactly what I wanted and I had only had her for an hour. Everyone thought she was sooo cute, they were probably lying though, she did kind of look like a gorilla with her smushed face and black mask. When we brough her home, the labs were trying to sniff her and she got so scared that she backed right between the wall and a piece of furniture and peed. it was comical. She whined all night in the crate.

Bio:
HI, I'm Layla! I am a brindle boxer with a little flash on my nose and my paws. I am not very heavy, but I am very tall and lanky. I am spayed but still very motherly to everyone and everything, my mommy has a hampster and I think it is my baby. I have a lot of anxiety and it can be seen it my obsessions with things like cleaning my feet, the laser pointer, and my whining, or so mommy says. I am not so anxious when I get enough exercise, and I love to exercise. My mommy says I am a classic beauty and that I get overlooked now since my brother is an eye-catcher. He is all white with one black eye; mom says he is cute, but I am a prime example of what a brindle boxer should look like. I am glad that she thinks I am beautiful.
