my new sister the kittie

Mom and I have been super busy lately. Mom's been all over the place with everything going on, but she has still had time to walk me. The snow in the past few weeks has hampered that , but I've been a stinker about not wanting to wear boots, so it's really my fault. I'd rather just do laps in the yard until my paws get too cold, instead of walking around all over the place with these weirdo boots on my feet. I think I'll get made fun of if anyone sees me in them! Mom throws snow at me in the yard and I run around like a maniac!

But..


Mom has had enough time to spend with me and she came home the other night with a kittie! She said someone threw her out a car window, and I don't know why anyone would do that. She's really soft and furry and I like it when she rubs her fur all over my muzzle. I don't really mind it when she bats at my face, and it's fun when she folllows me and tries to get my feet because then I send her off into a chase. The kittie has been really good with sharing mom too, and I'm glad because now when mom's not here, I have someone to run around with. She doesn't try to eat my food, and I got a few nibbles of hers in but then mom yelled at me. I share my water bowl with her though. Mine is way bigger and cooler, and her's is all rinky dink and plastic. I'm trying to be a big nice brother and share. Mom bought her these plastic jingly balls and I even had enough restraint not to eat them, and give them back to the kittie! I kinda wanna run off with her catnip sometime though.. if she'd just keep it out of her secret kitty closet... We haven't thought of a name for her yet, but I think we're gonna call her Kaya. I'm glad she came into my life. It's nice to have a sister. I miss little Lacey, but in a way, kittie is way cooler.

TUBBERWERZ!!

Mom has been propping her work shoes on top of this tubberwerz in the bathroom next to the heating vent at night, but she leaves it there during the day.

I haven't devoured it yet, but I bring it out when mom comes home, just to let her know that I know it's there and I'm being a good boy so far while she's at work. But one of these days.... that tubberwerz is gonna get it! I am on an eternal conquest to conquer all sizes, shapes, and colors of tubberwerz and this one is not going to be exempt from my reign of glory!

pimples and ponds

Mom started taking me to a new place and I am loving it! We walk every day now to this place near home and there's a pond, and we pass many people on the way who compliment me on my good looks and debonair ;) Sometimes we pass other people walking their dogs, and they all bark at me because I think they're jealous of my good looks. I just mind my own business though! I'm there on a mission to sniff and conquer the pond, one square inch at a time!

I can't wait 'till spring comes along so I can stamp my feet along the edge of the pond and scare all those evil fishes! I got a lot of pimples all over, and mom say's we have to go see the doc in a few days, so I'm not really looking forward to that. I don't like it when they poke and prode me like I'm a science experiment! That's what cats and gerbils are for!

Mom seems really excited though, for some reason. She seems to think she's figured out what "my problem has been all along". I don't think I have any problem, other than not getting enough ladies to fawn over me!

It's been a while since I barked around here! Mom took a bunch of pictures of me the other day, even though she knows I just want to eat the camera. But she says she can't believe how I look all grownind up now. She thinks all these new foods she gives me has some how contributed to me filling out. I'm trying to act like a big boy now, since I guess I'm supposed to be one. It's hard though, because Mom is gone an awful lot, and when she comes home she smells like Lucy and Kiro and ten thousand other doogies. At least now when she comes home she smells like clean shampooees and not a dirty kennel. Dad has been gone a lot and he told me that mom's gone a lot because she's supposed to take care of Lucy and Kiro for him. I know I'm supposed to be a big boy now but I'm still really jealous. I keep it under wraps for the most part, but every now and then I gotta remind Mom so I eat one of her tupperwares when she forgets and leaves them on the counter. Good thing I don't like apples and bannanas or they'd be in my belly too!

Oh I can't hold it against Mom too much though, because now when she's home with me we play all the time and snuggle, and she gives me all kinds of chewy meatses. She even got a whole second freezer just for this stuff she calls tripe. I don't know what it is, but I would do anything for it. It's so stinky and delicious I worship that big white box while she's gone. If I could just figure out how to open that freezer and get into the whole stash.....

Fish? What's that?!

Mom expects me to eat this weird stuff she calls fish. I don't know of any other dog that I've ever met that eats fish! What kind of a dog eats fish?! I'm not a cat after-all...

To prove my point, I'm going to eat it very, very slow, and make a huge mess so Mom has to take a long time cleaning up after me. I'll show her who eats fish!!

itchy scratchy

I know this is kinda soon... but mom's been giving me some extra stuff in my food, and spraying some stuff on me before she puts the aloe on me...I don't like this spray stuff..

but I haven't scratched myself at all in two whole days!

I hope I'm not jinxin myself here... but maybe by next week I'll be my usual soft handsom ladies man self..

Biking with Dad!

Mom finally fixed her schwinn and so me and her AND DAD went biking today!! It was awsome! We went farther than we ever have so far.I even learned how to start pulling with a bike today! Now that I showed Mom I can do it, we gotta go get a weight pull harness!!!! Woohoo!

YAY

Today was the first time that Mom left me to roam our whole house while she was gone at work, ALL DAY!! She was even a half hour late coming home from work... and I made extra sure the place was spotless for her arrival. I strrretched my way out of the bedroom, trying to be non chalent about her coming home to my spotless dwelling. I tried to play it off like I just slept in bed the whole time. She was going to leave me out this morning, and she was in this big hurry, and was trying to close the blinds so that I wouldn't see Kiro outside while she was gone (it's not like I'm going to fly through the window at him, but mom doesn't want me to get too stressed or scared without her here). Well she knocked the blinds over, and she twirled around in circles for a minute (I don't know what she was doing, and I don't think she did either!) And then she just decided to give me kisses and cross her fingers and trust me for once. Dad was supposed to come over and check on me at lunch and fix the blinds, but I guess he was stuck at work and then he hurt his neck so he just came home and went to slee. (He coulda cuddled with me, I woulda made him feel better! Harumph!)

I'm really growing up!

Mom said she knew before she even got home that I was gonna be a good boy. and so she stopped and got me a present that she said is gonna make our bikerides even better. I hope its something to make our bikerides tastier!

MOM GOT HER BIKE RACK!!

Now we don't have to bike in circles around the Queen Mother's neighboorhood and get fake smiles and pets from Grandpa.. or have to worry about the crazy electric fence dogs that go berzerk at me! Or that loose lab... who knows what kinds of stuff it's carrying around!

We went to the toe path for the first time yesterday and rode for an hour, and it was awsome. There were lots of squirrels, birds, and wonderful smells and sounds to take in. And many many other people biking, and some people walking! I got lots of compliments of course, but half of them were pertaining to me supposedly looking like Petey.. which is silly but I guess that's better than me looking like a scary monster! BOL

We went today and did 4 miles, in an hour and a half! It was awsome! We saw a loose dog, but it was across the river in a backyard, and it looked old and moved slowly, so I don't think it is a future threat.. Overall, I felt really safe there and it was a ton of fun!!I hope dad starts biking with me and mom soon!!

Mom spent all this time looking at breed selectors online, because the forums so she says peaked her interest. I laughed at the results.. because of course, because me, lucy, and kiro are the best dogs for her!!
