Well my mommy had knee surgery four weeks ago. She should be fine in a few months. However, things have been different around here lately. First I am not getting as much attention, or spoiled as much , as in the past. Mommy promises to make it up to me when she is able. My walks have dwindled, as she must rely on others to take me for a stroll. At least I have a large backyard and a family pack to spend time with. These changes are only temporary! Once Mommy is back to good health and walking on her own again, I'm sure that the walks and play time will be back in full swing. Mommy also said that I have slipped up on my commands and behavior. (Somehow I know that she cannot get up and enforce her commands).
I have learned that it is not cool to jump on hospital beds, or walk on post surgical wounds. Additionally, I have become comfortable with medical supplys, CPM machines, visiting nurses, walkers, crutches, etc. Mommy thinks that may be good for my future as a companion or therapy dog. Now I just curl up and show Mommy that I care and love her. I also get out of her way when she is trying to walk about the house with her mobility devices.
Yesterday, when Mom was out of the room, I pulled down both of my leash's (Off the doorknob) and left one at the front gate/door and the other at my doggie door. Mommy laughed and asked me if I was trying to tell her something. I think that I made my point, as she let me outside to run and play for a while. (Thanks Mom)
