   Leave a bone for Honey

Honey Bunny; Fairy Princess; Her Majesty

Quick Bio:
-purebred-dog rescue

Her mother

anything other than her mother, but especially her father. All he has to do is say "Hi Honey" and she takes off running, unless of course he has cheese!

Favorite Toy:
Toy? Toy? That would mean she does something other than lie in her pillow and growl at other dogs or get hand carried everywhere

Favorite Food:

Favorite Walk:
Walk? See above (she only likes to be carried on a pillow looking like royalty). She crosses her front paws and then raises her head up in the air. She looks like the Sphinx.

Best Tricks:
Tricks? Seriously now. She does nothing but sit in a pillow and survey her kingdom

Arrival Story:
Honey is puppy mill rescue. I got her at the age of one. She was almost dead and thought the world was a horrible place. Now she sees it as her personal kingdom to rule over.

My sweet little Honey passed away on December 5, after a year long struggle with kidney failure. She was only 4 years old. Her immune system was seriously compromised because of her health problems from the puppy mill. She never really had a chance, but for the 3 years I was blessed to have her, she was queen of the world. I will miss her always.

One year ago tomorrow, I passed to the Bridge

It will be a year tomorrow since I passed to the Bridge. The last thing my mom does every night, before shutting down the computer, is scratch my nose on her desktop and tell me goodnight.

I came from a puppy mill...and I lived a hard life, but in the end, I lived a loving andblessed life. While I passed way too early, at the age of 4, due to the abuse and neglect at the puppy mill, I also found a love with my mom that knew no bounds. I was one of the lucky ones.

My hope for every pup, and for every animal, is that they all feel the love, and find the companionship, that I found with my mom. My prayer is that one day there will be no more puppy mills, and no more precious lifes cut short, like mine, because of the life that exists within the mills.

I am sending you all rainbows from the bridge to color your lifes with love.

My Heavenly Friend, Snappy

Have you all met Snappy? He is such an awesome dog and had a hard life like mine. He was also a puppy mill dog and is now one of the angels up here with me, watching over all of you. He spent 7 years in a puppy mill. I just can't imagine. I only spent 1 year at a similar place, and I don't think any animal should even spend one day in such a place, much less 7 years. He was fortunate, like me, and got out and found a very loving father who taught him how to love and trust a human being. I'm telling you, it's not easy learning to trust after everything you go through in one of those places. But you know what, he just honored me by giving me a rosette. We are, indeed, kindred spirits. Thank you Snappy for thinking of me.

Until next time, we are sending you more rainbows to bring smiles to the people who cared enough to rescue us, and be patient enough to teach us to love.

A Rose to Share

Thank you Becky for the lovely rosette. If it's okay with you, I would like to accept it on behalf of all of the other rescue dogs who are up here on Rainbow Bridge with me. We all love flowers, both to give and to receive, and it is such an honor for me to have the rosette from you to share with all of my friends up here. Have a rainbow filled day!
