Arrival Story:
My human mommy has always wanted a pug but was always out-voted because the rest of the household was partial to large breed dogs. This year she told her parents that all she wanted for her 21st birthday was a pug puppy, and though she fully expected them to say absolutely not, they actually said they liked the idea. With her birthday still a few months away it didn't look like much more than a lot of research on litter due dates, and breed information was going to happen for quite some time, but then, it did! My mommy's parents contacted a breeder in Pennsylvania who said they still had one fawn colored, male pug left for adoption, and that was that... her parents arranged it with the breeder to meet someplace called Dunkirk, NY. My breeder bundled me up all nice and cozy, loaded me into their van, and we were off to meet what would become my forever family. My human mommy was busy working a double shift, so her mom, dad, and younger brother came to check me out, and were sunk once they saw my little face, the paperwork was signed, and I was off to my home in West Seneca, NY to await the arrival of my new mommy. While I waited her family wasted no time playing with me, showing me love, and introducing me to my two much BIGGER friends Meatball and Ozzy... after about 7 hours with them my mommy was finally home from work and had absolutely no idea I was waiting for her. She came downstairs, saw me on the couch waiting and immediately wanted to play with me... unfortunately she was too cold from the frigid Buffalo temperatures and had to wear gloves for the first few minutes, it didn't take long for her to warm up and then the gloves came off and she and I went upstairs to my new bedroom where I spend my first night! I'm on night two here and so far I really like my new home, there's plenty of people around to play with me, and show me the love, TONS and TONS of toys, and I have full roam of the ENTIRE house. Once I can conquer the stairs, this place is in trouble.

Bio:
* I like to play with toys that are bigger than me * I have my entire house wrapped around my little paw * I sleep upside down like a bat, hence the nickname Batman * I like to suck on my stuffties until I fall asleep

GRRR....RUFF...I'm TUFF!!!

My Tuesday morning this week greeted me rather rudely with cold white stuff all over the ground. What is that I kept asking myself as mamie prepared me to go outside. I vaguely remembered seeing it last year when I was first brought home but I wasn't allowed to spend any time with it because I was too little. Well, I wish I was still to little. I poked my little paw down and very quickly drew it back up, poked my other little paw down and very quickly drew that one back up too, then I mustered up the courage to let them touch the ground as I ever so quickly ran into the garage, there'd be no potty time outside for me, nope nope nope. I stood in that garage door and I barked and I growled at that white stuff which I now know was snow, and I shivered and I barked and growled some more...GO AWAY evil snow, you're too cold for me! When I came inside mamie put a pee pad down for me, but she thinks I had forgotten what the point of them is, see I started to have an accident on the floor but I know that's not a good thing so I quickly stopped myself, put my ears back, bugged my eyes out, and sat down just waiting to be yelled at, but I wasn't. I was walked over to my pee pad and encouraged to go there, however, I just wouldn't do it. Mamie began to worry that I would float away, but I knew better, I had surely scared that evil snow and would soon be able to go potty outside. Next outs the snow was still there so mamie tried shoveling me a green spot, but that didn't work I still wouldn't go...however, by mid day my scariness had paid off, the snow ran (err melted) away trembling with fright and I was able to potty outside again!!!!!!!! YAY me! GO AWAY SNOW, you don't wanna mess with the pug!

Today called for more snow, but I think it must have remembered me because so far it has stayed to our North up in the city of Buffalo and beyond which as we hear have been getting pounded rather nicely for once! Mamie and mommy say good for them, it's always our area and the south getting pounded while the city and north get to laugh, now we get to do the laughing. I guess there's a chance it will get here a little later and leave us a little bit which mommy would be semi-happy with because it's "pretty" but I say STAY AWAY SNOW if you know what's good for you!

Alright well, it's dinner time here so I gotta go get my beg on!

SUCCESS

Well, my first birthday I would have to say was a success. When I finally had enough energy to get up and moving that is exactly what I did. I continued my usual torment of the house, chewed grandpa while my mommy went out, ya know the norm for me, but then I got treats and pressies.

When mommy and mamie came home from shopping (they were in search of a tuxedo for me but failed) they brought me my very own jelly timbit from Tim Hortons...MMMMMMM Jelly are my favorite, then I got a special treat from the barkery at the pet store, a dog treat shaped like a pretzel, frosted with yogurt and sprinkles....double MMMM (no worries all, my brothers Meaty and Ozzy were treated as well!) After I finished part of my pretzel (it was too big so I have leftovers) I was given my new Larry the Lobster, a stuffed red lobster that's nice and soft like my favorite toy Blue and Larry squeaks! I played and played, and got punked by my big brothers, and punked my big brothers back, and played some more, then I finally fell asleep for a power nap before waking up and beginning my torment all over again.

Everyday I take a shower with my mamie (or my mommy) not an actual shower but I do like to follow them into the bathroom and chew on chewies where my big brothers can't punk me and today I got my very own wizzler (well actually I started the wizzler last night, but I got to keep it longer today), I was so excited that I definitely didn't think it could get better but it did! See last night my mommy baked vanilla funetti cupcakes with chocolate funfetti frosting, now being that there was chocolate I never expected them to be for me, but they were!!! Don't freak out though fellow dogsters I DID NOT get any chocolate, see while mommy was baking she was very sneaky and made me 3 mini-cupcakes with NO frosting, so today she put a candle in them, I ate my mini vanilla funfetti NO chocolate cupcakes, and my humans joined in the fun with the chocolate frosted cakes...this way mommy could include everybody!

Now I know why Meaty and Ozzy kept telling me to be excited about my birthday, I got so spoiled and had so much fun, I can't wait until next years birthday...too bad I'll be turning two then and mommy fears my terrible twos because I can already be a monster! I say no worries mom, I've outgrown that stuff, I'm a year old, I'm a man now!

Well, I'm off to beg for some more treats, and play with my new toys and stuff until bed time!

I officially turned one year old today!!! WOO HOO!! I am so excited! Mommy and mamie went out birthday shopping yesterday for me, but said I wasn't allowed to have anything until today so I should be getting my pressies soon! Mommy made vanilla funfetti cupcakes last night and even made sure to make me some teeny tiny ones so I could eat them too! It's still early here and I'm still a little sleepy and lazy this morning but as the day goes on I guess I'll see what this day brings me...I think it's gonna be fun, and I think I'm gonna be spoiled!! :-D
