TIBETAN MASTIFF TALES and ADVENTURES

I Did IT again ....Tailwags

Today I went to my 2nd Dog Show .. ( LKA )..I was the Only Tibetan Mastiff in my Class...I had to compete against lots of other breeds ..As my mum is walking on crutches her work partner took me to the show and took me into the ring . Mum watched from a ringside seat.....I behaved perfectly...and I Did It again...I won my Class...I got lots of congratulations from other exhibiters ....One man came up to me before I entered the ring and said....Do you realise You are representing all Tibetan Mastiffs as You are the Only Tibetan Mastiff bitch Junior entered in the whole show....I felt proud to be representing my Breed....and even Prouder to have walked out of that ring with a First Place Card ...I think when I go to Crufts Dog Show I will be ok as it is held in this same venue. This Show was a taster for the Big Indoor Show....Yes, I did well.
I told Gus when I got home ...only to laugh at him cos Dad said Gus whined all day...He is Such a Wimp !! Im going to have a Nice big treat now....I might even let Gus have one too....just for being a wimp !! Tailwags...Kira

My FIRST DOG SHOW 5th Sept 09

Hello, Tailwags....Yesterday I went to my very first Dog Show. It was City Of Birmingham Championship show...( UK ) .The Show also had a Breed Show for Tibetan Mastiffs..so mum entered Gus and me just for fun ,socialisation and to see all the other TM,s
Well, Gus, he decided it was too Big for him,,,so on Tuesday he thought of an excuse to get out of going to the show...The big Wimp decided to cut his foot ....He ended up at the Vets ...So, I went to the show without Him.
It was a Big show, a bit daunting at first..but I was well behaved apart from when I decided I wasnt going to get up after a nice lay down....( my Party trick) As Im quite a heavy Girl It isnt easy trying to move me when I play dead !
Anyway, the Show....I got a 3rd place in Puppy class That instantly qualified me for Crufts Dog Show in March 10.
In the Breed show I got a 1st place , in Puppy I was told it was a big class for Tibetans too. I won a sack of food, a nice red rosette, red card, a free photo shoot for Our Dogs paper. and a Trophy to have engraved ...Not a bad day out.
I was tired and slept all the way home but it was a good experience and good socialisation .
Dad said Gus moaned all day for being left behind !! Serves him right .... .Well, I guess its time for our playtime now..Tail wags , Kira
