We went to the pet expo on Sunday and had a great time there. My sisters said it’s a bit like Crufts in the UK but on a smaller scale. This didn’t stop us having a good time. There were lots of other doggies and a lot of stalls selling nice smelling food. We stopped at the Chinese Medicine booth and picked up some herbs for Schnauzers. The nice doctor there said we are prone to skin irritation and kidney problems and the herbs will help keep a good balance of yin & yang. I hope it will not taste too bitter but sisters said they will mix honey into the herb tea for us. We also booked a photo shoot which will have to wait until we have our next grooming. We did have some trial photos taken though with a background of the Bahamas. We doggies were just lounging around which was kinda fun but I didn’t like staying so still. The best thing of the entire outing was the 4 bags of Recipe dog chow we bought. I’ve been going into the room a lot to make sure they are safe and sound.

Where is my sister?

Sister has been away for two nights and mum said she has gone to The Philippines for training. Hmm….. is it some kind of obedience training teaching her commands like sit and stay? I wonder why mum didn’t teach her at home like she taught us three doggies. I wish mum did as I really miss sister. I have stopped pointing at food these days. Instead I point at the door and listen for keys jangling and locks turning, hoping sister will come through the door and kiss me. It is so lonely and cold without her sharing the bed with me at night. I am sure she feels the same, though she always says I take up most of the bed leaving her just enough room to toss and turn.

I hope she is enjoying her training, and most importantly, I hope they will teach her the ‘give-lan chu-treats’ command. She is not very good with this you see and only responds to my command 50% of the time. Sometimes I really need to work hard before she understands!!!!

Fat Pointer

I think I must have been a Pointer in my previous life as I have retained some of their traits. I love pointing at food whenever my humans are around, just like the Pointers would indicate where fallen games are. You would always find me napping close to the dinning table or the treats cupboard, jumping up to point at food when my humans walk pass. To my dismay they don't usually understand my gesture. Instead, they would mock me and say 'you are so chubby', or 'I have never seen such a fat Pointer before!!They are all lean and muscular'. What's wrong with being a chubby and lazy Schnauzer?? I happen to think it's quite cute.

Guess what??? My sisters saw this book titled "Dealing with the Lazypig Dog in you". Whilst they found it extremely funny that, out of all possible things, I was chosen as the icon of laziness, I see it quite differently. You see, the opening phrase states that in every person's heart there lives a dog named Lazypig, which I found really sweet. I know I am very much loved by my family and those who know me, but it never occured to me I'm THIS famous and live in everyone's heart. Wow that's every living soul on this planet!!! My brother Fay is warning me not to get carried away but I feel so honoured to have a book named after me. I'm running off to tell all my friends now.... Woof woof....

The house invader

I was indulging in my favourite past time (which happens to be barking at passers-by) this afternoon when I was struck suddenly by the nasty invader to my house. My brother and I have been getting nips and bites from this little monster everyday and though he doesn't belong here officially he seems to think he is in charge of our house. The thing is we are both peace-loving doggies and are not used to dealing with things violently. To make things worse the monstrous puppy is also getting the full back up from mum and dad. However, my sisters said we can probably still win with our superior wits (the puppy is really quite dumb). They are trying to come up with some clever plans and we shall see how it goes....

By the way, you must be wondering where this puppy came from and the truth is he was forced onto us. My sister got fooled by her friend who asked her to look after the puppy until he was old enough to go home.... and then he stayed.... and stayed.... and there is still no sign of him leaving. Usually it wouldn't be a problem for him to stay but my sisters are really unhappy about the way he's bullying us. However, mum and dad are in love with him and would not take him away. My faithful sisters have been protesting ever since and lavishing us with extra love and attention. They are also unsure about putting him on Dogster for fear of scaring everyone away. Trust me, he is a real devil and the most annoying schnauzer on earth!!!

P.S. The monstrous puppy has now turned into Monstrous Toby (you can see his page by following the link to my family), who has since became an illegal immigrant to our home.
