Old Dog, New Tricks

Weather

I love to be outside, especially on those hot summer days, when I can just lay in the grass with my girl, play fetch, and just enjoy life! But lately its been cold, very cold! I cant even go outside for walks, my paws and ears get reeeaaalllyyy cold. So lately Ive been cooped up in the house! I like it, I get to chase the cats, lay on the couch, and best of play hide-N-Seek! Thats my favorite game to play! My girl watches me go up the stairs, after I go up, she tells me to stay then she hides (behinde the couch, under the table, in the bathroom, behinde doors, etc.), and of course I wait upstairs til she says "okay Jack, Find me", then I run down the stairs and look for her! Its sooooo much fun. I love the attention and rewards I get when I find her!
The other thing I like to do is, get the "Canine Crazies". Thats only for when I have alot of energy. I run around the house, non-stop, I spin around the couch, run around the table, out into the kitchen, back into the living room, up the stairs, and where ever else my legs take me! You should try it sometime!
My girl taught me a few more tricks too! She taught me how to sneeze (it's really cute), jump, and spin. My girl, and her mom, keep telling me how smart I am. I learn these things very quickly, within an hour!

Old Dog, NewTricks

Hello my name is Jack and I'm a beagle!! Well today was very exciting!! I learned a new a new trick!! YAY!! Im sooooo proud of myself, I learned it in 10 minutes! The trick is ROLL OVER, the only problem I have is that Im kind of "fat", so when I roll over I have to do it fast or else I get stuck half way through!! So far I know how to sit, wave, give paw (I know my left from my right paw), roll over, lay down, take a bow, speak, and dead dog!! My girl has taught me everything I know, and I thank her alot for it! I really enjoy learning new tricks, but I enjoy the little treats I get too when I learn them. I would really like to learn more tricks, but I think I learned them all!
This summer I would really like to do agility,(last autumn my girl had set up an agility course using spare wood) I think if I took my time and learned it, I would get faster and faster, and better and better. Then pretty soon I would be able to particapate in agility competitions! What a dream that is??
