Arrival Story:
Maggie May was born in Eastern Wa shington, the daughter of Cassie who met a young handsome chocolate lab Caleb and it was lust at first site. Cassie gave birth to Maggie May along with other chocolate and black pups. Maggie was the only yellow in the litter and they named her Oddball. Her adoptive mom, Jenny came to Eastern Washington for Easter in 2004 and met Cassie and her litter of pups. She fell in love with Oddball and then came back to Seattle to tell her best friend, Fanny about Maggie and her brothers and sisters. Fanny decided to adopt one of the black female pups and so she and Jenny travelled back over the mountains and got Oddball and "LaPetite". Oddball was renamed Maggie and LaPetite was renamed to Miami's Misty May. Maggie and her adopted family eventually moved to a 107 year-old farmhouse 40 miles north of Seattle. They love Maggie so much, they named the new home after her to "Maggie's Manor". Maggie is AKC registered but since she is just a homebody, she cannot bear children herself. In 2004, another yellow pup came to Maggie's Manor. Maggie did not particulary care for Granite's Magnificent Marley at first, as she felt the kid was getting too much attention. She soon learned that Marley went off for months at a time to earn his AKC Junior and Senior Hunt Titles. She didn't mind abit. Now Marley is a stud muffin and has taken a break from Hunt Tests and he and Maggie have become best buds. Maggie is still #1 girl and maintaining her alpha position. Marley continues to try to change that situation!
