Lita is so sweet. We got her when she was 6 months old and my husband and she became fast friends. She loves everyone, but she is definitely a 'daddy's girl', she is black and looks like a barrel on 4 legs. People always laugh, because she greets everybody with her favorite thing in the whole wide world-her ball. It has to be a tennis ball, and she wants you to throw it, but she drops her head down and clamps down on it wagging her tail the whole time, making it a game. Daddy has taught her to give it to him, but she still does the behavior with everyone else. She will come and sit at your feet, then edge closer, and closer, then turn her body so that she would have to look up at you backwards, then leans against your legs and gives 'mooneyes' until you try to take the ball, and she will do this all day...if we let her. She will also retrieve the ball untill she dies, we found this out the hard way last summer. My daughter-in-law and three grandchildren took Lita with them to the park to play. They called me an hour later frantic that she was breathing heavily and couldn't walk. My husband drove down there and had to carry her from the van into the yard where he could then hose her down little by little to cool her off, she literally had retrieved herself to exhaustion. She is 'balltonian' and her world is ball, her town is called Balltonia, and everything in her world is green, fuzzy and round.
