Arrival Story:
Star was so named because of a star shaped cataract in his left eye that he was born with. He was purchased by me after I purchased his brother Lucky who had scar tissue on his larynx which caused breathing difficulty. Lucky and Star accomodate each others disabilities and are lovingly referred to as 'the Bookends'. They are called this because we discovered that when one picked up something either on his own or from a retrieve, the other would hold it to, so they would trot along side by side and they look like twins-hence 'Bookends'...When they sit, they sit together and pose the same way, down to holding their ears the same, it's uncanny.

Bio:
Star's doggy daddy 'Am/Can CH Oakridge Polar Ice' ('Ice' nickname) and mommy 'Rockinoak Talk of the Town' ('Rumor' nickname) of Rockinoak Labradors Kennels, were/are both yellow and unfortunately, daddy crossed over the Rainbow Bridge last year and will be greatly missed.
