Arrival Story:
I had been casually looking on petfinder for an adult dog to adopt. I was in school full time and only wanted an adult dog that needed exercise/walks but no training. Needless to say I didnt find one before I met Odin. And this is how I met him: While on vacation at Whistler we drove a few hours north to Pemberton. As we were leaving Pemberton I suggested we visit a feed store where my parents had adopted a puppy 12 years ago. We went in and there were no pups. As we were leaving the clerk said there was an ad a breeder had posted for Catahoulas (Cata what?). We drove back to Whistler and did some research. On a whim we called them and guess what, they had a litter. So the next day we drove 4 hours north, through Pemberton, to the town they were in. The puppies were adorable and the vet was comming the next day to give them their last shots/check up before they would be available for adoption. We drove back to Whistler and after a discussion with my partner we decided to get a one. So.. the next day.. we drove back up there and got 2 puppies!! I adopted Odin 2 days before the start of my summer semester at university and after my first week of balancing full time school and 2 puppies waking up at 5 am every morning and keeping me up till 1 am I decided to drop out of classes for the summer. Now I have a prescious puppy-d0g!
Bio:
Odin is a big, goofy puppy. He doesn't care much for other people but LOVES other dogs. He is very clumsy and likes to dance around like a bunny rabbit when he has a stick or something hes not supposed to ie a pop can or a plastic bag!. Sometimes I wonder if he realizes he is no longer a 9 pound puppy, he WAS the runt of the litter after all (the breeders nammed him pipsqueek!). He has the mentality of a puppy but the body of a horse! He got the name Odin because I wanted him to have a powerful name, and something he could grow into.

Well yesterday, March 7, was my BIRTHDAY! I didn't write yesterday because I was drunk on pig ears, pig snouts, doggy cake and biscuits! Man I am so hungover. I am gonna spend the day in my bachelor pad, (aka my crate). Mommy bought me a new collar to replace the flower one that I am not allowed to wear. It is orange with a pink stripe. Looks fab on me! Mommy also bought me a rubber bone with rainbows and hearts on it. It matches my new collar. She also gave one to bandit. From Bandits mommy I got a blue hand me down sweater that really compliments my coat. It will be great for sitting on the porch at night watching the sky (and on stray cat patrol).
Yesterday was great. Mommy took me to the beach. No hot chicks. Then she took me home and gave me a bath with this new shampoo she got. She bathed me in cool water, not warm water because she says I will itch too much if she uses warm water. Ugh it was the most horrible bath of my life! I Whimpered the whole time in protest and tried to drink all the tap water so that i wouldnt get wet. I got a pig ear for being such a soldier. I slept on the porch in the sun and then went and had a nap with Mom. After that we went to visit Bandit to have some cake! Will post pics later when I am out of my piggy stupor.

Time flies when you're sleeping.
Anyways. I was so sick last night and today. Must have been the dirt i was eatting/water I was drinking at Trout Lake because I had the trotts last night. Daddy held my hand and took me out to the yard all night. He was there for me. We had a few good bonding moments, you know..when a dude helps annother sick dude. It was nice. Till I had an accident in the kitchen. I spent most of the day in bed with Mom, who is also sick. She probibly caught her eye infection at trout lake too!! (ha ha)
I have a new girlfriend. She lives in the suite in the basement. She is cute. Her name is Daisy. She is a Jack Russell terrier. She growls at me but I know she wants me. I like to try to take her toys and step on her but she wont have it. Shes the only little dog who really stands up to me. I love an empowered woman.

I have some bad news and some good news, what do you want to hear first.
The bad news is 2 dogs tried to beat me up at the park and steal my lunch money. One collie and one pitbull each grabbed an ear and tried to run in opposite directions! there was nothing i could do. I tried to hide under the park bench mom was sitting on but she said I had to fend for myself and shoo-ed me out from under there. It was brutal. I had to step on them to get them to stop. I am at least a foot taller then them so it ended up being OK. I am now a tough guy for beating up the east-side crew. (east si-ed)
The good news is i got a new wardrobe. My collar broke and mommy baught me a new 0ne. Well she actually got me two: a camoflage one and a bright yellow one with flowers. I prefer the flowered one but dad says i will get beat up again if mom lets me wear it. I think I look better in the flowered one but the camo one makes me look like im a tough guy, it also compliments my long neck and slender figure.
