Arrival Story:
Ruby was not the puppy I had picked out. I had picked out a big black and silver female from another litter. My mother (who breeds mini and toy schnauzers) had planned on keeping Ruby for breeding because she was liver. One day, Mom told me I could have her if I wanted her, she had decided not to keep anymore pups. I knew Mom really wanted her, so I told her I would take her. I hadn't planned on getting really attached to this one. My last schnauzer slipped out the front door and got hit by a car, so I wasn't going to get that attached again. Yeah, right. Well, Ruby stole my heart in about 5 seconds. She was almost the perfect puppy. I can't imagine not having her. I pray Ruby lives many, many more years.

Bio:
Ruby is 11" tall, so she's a very small mini. She's liver, which is registerable, but cannot compete in AKC shows. (which is fine by us) She had her first litter of 6 puppies on Aug 19, 2008. They were sired by a black & white parti colored male. She will probably be bred one more time to a liver & white parti male before I have her spayed. Ruby has the best personality of any dog I've ever lived with. She's never met a stranger and she never barked until she had puppies. Everyone that meets her falls in love with her, even people that don't like dogs.
