Wow it is cold :)

OMD! It is 11.4 degrees this morning! Wind chill factor of 1. You know we live in T-E-X-A-S. The highest temp in the state is 32 at Brownsville, Tx.

Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow this morning! So an early spring! That is good news!!!! Last year on the first day of spring we got 8 inches of SNOW! He saw his shadow last year.

I refused to come in the laundry room last night, but I was ready to come in at 4am this morning! I love the cold, but was ready for a nice warm nap BOL!

Happy New Year

So sorry I have not been on, below will explain.

We hope everyone has a safe, fun, and happy New Year's eve and a healthy, safe, happy 2011.

This is what is going on as of right now;

Cast:
Mommy
Daddy
Sister- Mommy's daughter (lives with us)
Sissy= Daddy's daughter
Bubba- Daddy's son (They live with their Mother)
Grand Dad- Daddy's Dad
Paw Paw- Mommy's Dad

Thur Dec. 23:
Go in to wake Grand Dad from his nap so he can have his dinner. Grand Dad has passed in his sleep peacefully. Call 911.
Ambulance comes, Police come, the JP/ME comes. Full interrogation. Finally all leave. Make phone calls. Mommy had
arrangements postponed til Monday.

Fri Dec 24:
It had been explained that Bubba (13), Sissy (17), and her boyfriend were coming for Christmas from noon to 2pm. That was our allotted time frame. Did not feel like cooking the Christmas dinner, so took a vote and made a big pot of spaghetti. Sissy and boyfriend show up at 7:30pm. Open presents and gone in an hour. The ex will drop off Bubba sometime Sat or Sun.

Sat Dec 25: Merry Christmas! ?
No word from ex. Not answering phone or text messages. Watch FOOTBALL!

Sun Dec 26:
2pm, ex texts she will bring Bubba between 3-4 to get his presents and "visit". 4:30 shows up, does not drop off Bubba but stays.Very awkward. Stay about an hour and leave. (Have not seen kids since last Xmas, not by choice)

Mon Dec 27:
Make funeral arrangements.

Tue Dec 28:
Visitation

Wed Dec 29:
Grand Dad;s service is at 1pm. Not going to gravesite as it is chilly and raining and Grand Dad's 94 year old Sister in Law would have insisted in going. She did not need to be out in the weather. Run errands. Pass by the cemetery and see they are finishing up Grand Dad's burial.
Get home @ 2:30. But the day is far from over!!
Mommy had scheduled Paw Paw a Dr's appointment for 4pm. At 3:15 the Dr's office called and asked could she bring him on in as the Dr needed to leave. She says ok. Tells Paw Paw he needed to get dressed and let's go. He says "I don't think so, call 911" (The Dr is only 4 minutes away, hospital 20) He refuses to co operate. Mommy calls 911. SAME ambulance, SAME crew. To top it off Paw Paw is joking with them, dresses himself, and walks and gets on the stretcher he insists he needed. (Another 20 feet, he could have been in the car or truck for us to take him)
He is in the hospital with fluid on his left lung. Mommy and Daddy are fuming over him having to have the display of having the ambulance to come get him.
It was unnecessary, and you'd have to be here to fully understand.
