Nicknames:
Code-man, code a lode, codester, cody man, cody-wody, Commander Cody Boy

Quick Bio:
-purebred

Likes:
Butt rubs and the resulting butt dance, gathering THREE balls in his mouth at one time, car rides, any and all human foods, sleeping under the bed and playing with his "brother" Jackson. He loves when his family comes home!

Pet-Peeves:
He has none of those, as far as we can tell. He's an easy going guy. Oh. He HATES having his picture taken! Every time he sees the camera in front of my face, he runs away! I have to be quick with the shutter!

Favorite Toy:
Any temporarily deserted running shoe. Oh, and let's not forget his THREE tennis balls.

Favorite Food:
Bananas! Definitely. He can smell a freshly peeled banana from anywhere in the house.

Favorite Walk:
Down the driveway, turn right, head to the end of the street, pause 36 times along the way, circle the tennis courts, turn left, then right, head home, but stop 12 more times first for scent gathering information.

Best Tricks:
He can hold THREE balls in his mouth at once. Once, he even did the butt dance while holding the THREE balls.

Arrival Story:
Cody, a native of Massachusetts, came to us after we decided that our sweet Dusty, who was getting a bit old, needed some young blood to perk him up. It worked! Dusty lived until he was 17. When we still lived in Mass., Cody used to chase all the kids down the sledding hill in the winter and steal their hats right off their heads!

Bio:
Cody has a brother, Jackson. They are inseperable and silly. Cody is deaf now, and Jackson has kindly become Cody's ears.

Winter

Now that I'm older, it's time to reflect on those long ago days of my youth.
The last few days here in Georgia have been unseasonably warm, which made me long for
my old home in snowy Massachusetts.
Every day in the winter, when there was snow covering the ground, my Mom and her other kids, the ones who made a lot more noise than I ever did, would bundle up to go outside. As soon as the gathering of the boots began, I knew that we would soon be on our way to the big hill! This realization caused me to jump and spin and chase my tail. All of those little humans would jump on their plastic sleds and zoom away, squealing and barking with joy. OK, they might not have been barking. But whatever they were saying, I interpreted it as an invitation to steal their winter hats. Not requiring a sled to keep up, I took off after them, running alongside until I was just close enough to reach out, mouth open, and grab a hat. My humans really delighted in this trick. I could tell because they really started to laugh and bark. I always liked to think they were barking.
After 30 minutes of this, we were all tuckered out. Mom led us home and fixed hot chocolate for everyone. Of course, I didn't really like hot chocolate, so Mom gave me one of those hard, dry things that she calls "treats" (does she think I'm dumb?) and a marshmallow.
Ah....youth.
