dogpark

Well I finally got to go to the dog park yesturday. It was super slippery. Mom let me run for just a little bit then put me back on the leash. I wasnt happy about that but mom was afraid of me overdoing it and hurting my leg. I have to admit is was pure sheet ice out there, so i guess I can understand moms concerns, but I still wasnt happy.

I finally have my cast off! BUT pooh I still have to take it easy, Doc says icy conditions can make me slip and my leg could twist and snap. Also mom and dad have hardwood floors, which means they are slippery too. I need to work on rebuilding my muscles so I can get out and play! I'm so ready to be free. Doc says Im pretty well healed but i have a large calcium buildup on my leg. Mom isn't sure what that means, but I hope it doesnt mean anything bad.

New cast

Another cast... I managed to crack the other one. Im really ready to be off this bedrest business. Im getting stronger and pulling harder on my leash everyday. According to the new x-rays i have at least another month. I get so sad when I see the others heading off to the dog park. Mom has been easing up on keeping me in the crate all the time, I spend alot of time snuggling on the couch, which is great..... but I really really want to run. I'm bored, us pooches arn't meant to be on bed rest with minimal activity. I miss my walks, I miss running with Kodi.

What I wouldn't give to be magically healed.

Bedrest really stinks

November 11th I darted out the fence and a really mean driver ran me over. They Didn't even stop, although I was squealing in intense pain. Luckily mom and dad were close by. We made an emergency trip to see my friend Dr Gardner. I had broken my humerus and ulna, and been in this horrible cast ever since. Its really hard to stay in my crate. I am only allowed out to eat and go potty. I really want to run and play, but Doc thinks in order to really heal, I need to stay low.

Kodi had our puppies on November 5th. We had 8 all together. I wasnt allowed to play much with them, due to having to lay low. I am a really good Daddy though. The pups knew they could always snuggle with me. Lucian, my son, is still here. I make sure he gets to eat and drink and protect him when things get rowdy.

I go back to see my Doc in 3 days to see just when this cast comes off. I know its for my own good, it just makes me sad I can't go play with my friends. For quite some time I was visiting Doc every other day. Now we are down to once a week.

I can't wait to get out and run and play!!!!
