She was very loved by her previous owner, but the woman wasn't able to take care of her properly, so gave her up. She chose us because I really wanted a small dog and our situation is similar to hers - we have a lab and have had dogs for many years.
We got Sugar on 1/14/09 and within a day, she had firmly attached herself to me.

I'm supposedly full chihuahua, but I ain't. My Mom says I'm bigger and my body doesn't look like a chi's.
She did some research and thinks I'm part miniature fox terrier. others say jack russel, but I'm calmer then that and when I do get all excited, I'm easily calmed down.
Who know! ;) It's all good in Sugah-land!

It doesn't happen that often, but it did yesterday!
I got my first taste of snow. I had a great time playing in it, but I didnt' like the wind too much. Mom walked me down to the beach and I had a great time until we got to the beach...and I felt the wind. Yuck!
Since it snowed later on yesterday, it's still here this morning. My Mom promised me I can play out in it one more time before it melts this afternoon. Yes!
