Arrival Story:
Tallulah came to us thru the pedigree of our beloved Elsa who passed away in August 2008 at the age of 15 years. We loved Elsa our forever friend and researched her pedigree to find some ancestors. We located a wonderful breeder in South Western Virginia who had some relatives of our old girl Elsa. In September the mama, Cary was bred to Zeke and on November 24th our girl, Tula, was born. Tula was one of 9 of the most beautiful labrador puppies we have ever seen. We made the 6 hour journey to South Western Virginia and brought our special girl home with us on January 12th.

Bio:
Tallulah is a lovely lighter labrador with dark eyes and nose. At this writing she is about 8 lbs. She is growing every day and is a big part of our lives already. She is as smart as can be. She only needs to see for herself one time and she commits it to her memory. She has very strong lab traits and is already exhibiting how focused and patient she will be as an adult. She is truly lovely.

Dear fur sister,

Mommy told me that today you left her a year ago for someplace called the bridge. She also tells me everyday that you watch over me.
Thank u for being there for me. You know I do need a guiding hand.
I am an excited wriggly, happy, sniffing, retrieving, jumping,
mess.
I am working on my puppy manners. Sort of. Isn't life grand though?
Hopefully I will be the kind of doggie you were, Elsa.
Calm, and respectful.
Maybe some day.

On your special day I want you to know that mommy and I are going to go to the beach. I know you just loved it.
Mom said if we sit still and listen we will be able to see you running with the wind and jumping high to catch your frisbee.
I can't do that yet so I would really like for you to show me.

I will try my very best to sit quietly and watch for u.

Happy Angel Day, Elsa

Hi From The Beach

Hello Friends,
Mom, Pavorotti and I are having a great time beachin it.

I am the official Ocean Keyes Welcoming and Clean Up Committee.
Mom gets mad when the vacationers leave their trash all over the complex and she and I grab a bag and go around and pick it up.
This way Mom doesn't have to keep saying "spit it out Tulah".
See, I had the clean up "idea" way before mom did. I love trash.
Especially the food kind. I have found banana bread, a pop tart, a piece of bread, all colors of gum, barbeque sauce and an entire discarded chicken dinner. I'm a shrubbery diver. For some reason this is where the "goods" are.
Yum.
NOT YUM! Mom grabs it away from me!
Maybe when people are away from their homes they aren't as careful as they should be with their left overs. Fine with me. lol
Today I met a little girl dog named "Jingles" she was cute and not barking and afraid of me like most of the little dogs here.
Especially little 5 month old Heidi. She is scared of me and barks at me even early, early in the morning.
Mom said every time we go out she is out too. We must be on the same schedule or something.
WAKE UP OCEAN KEYES! It's morning!!!! Geez.

I am making progress on my walking without pulling.
Mom has some big muscles now and I am learning how to walk with less pulling. On my first trip out I am very excited and pull but after a few I am less excited and calm down a bit. This makes mom happy
and saves the soles of her flip flops. And.....her back!

Believe me I am staying away from those nasty SAGO's. Mom went to a concert in the park last night and told the people up there with dogs.
Even if they live here full time they did not realize what danger they had in their yards.
Well have a good weekend buddies. I am sure I will be back with more
of the Tulah Times!

Howlo from the beach!!

Hello to everybody!!

Tulah here from the beach. Boy am I having fun. I hope mom is having as much fun as me. There is so much to do and see here.
I am always on the go.
Being me and a handful as I hear them all say I am really trying to behave myself. I see lots of other doggies here all walking nicelyon their leashes and I am trying to copy this. Sometimes I do well and sometimes I get so excited I just can't hold myself back.

Mom says I have to stop going into other peoples condos. I see a door open and I pop in. Just a quick hello from Tulah.
At the beginning of the vacationers week they are shouting " there is a dog in here and laughing" at the end of the week they are saying "look, look Tulah's here". Gotta love me.

Yesterday I was minding my business playing with my yellow Orvis ball and a bunch of ducks swam close to the edge. Now you know I just had to take a look. Off I went. Into the lake. Swimming with the ball in my mouth.
Mom was calling me so I came back but I just had to let those ducks know who was the boss and in I went again.
I even picked up a stick to shake it at them.
They swam off and I came out. I went in a yellow lab and came out a 1/2 yellow, 1/2 black muck color.
I should have stayed out of the muddy part, mom said.

I had a shower and I was fine. Mom had to change her clothes again even though she had just changed to go out and look at places for Melissa's wedding. Oh OHooooooo!

I am happy to be able to provide the vacationers with many
Tulah moments. They laugh and laugh.

Mom has to do work today so after my walk I am going to take a rest.

p.s. Mom and I are telling EVERYBODY about the bad SAGO PALMS.
Pass the word as we do please. Our Association is going to include a piece about these bad plants in our new newsletter. YES!!

Back to u soon. Loving the beach and everything else.
