Leave a bone for Zoey

Nicknames: Zoe

Quick Bio:
Likes: Cuddling on our bed until bedtime, When we get home, and her "girl", (our daughter, Madison, 10 yrs)

Pet-Peeves: Strangers coming into her house, strange dogs sniffin' in the wrong places

Favorite Toy: Her squeakey stuffed football she has had since we rescued her. It is the only squeakey, stuffed toy she doesn't tear up and destroy!

Favorite Food: She will "try" any people food we let her try, but she loves ice cubes

Favorite Walk: She loves to walk anywhere we go, she isn't pickey at all!

Best Tricks: She is still learning, but she plays this "waiting" game with Madison and she is really good at it. She ia a very very pacient gal!

Arrival Story: My life had been emptied approximately 6-7 months prior, and I had no intentions of getting another dog for quite a while. My husband had been browsing a local "for sale" website here in Portland and came across her. He emailed me the ad, and my heart skipped a beat. I had NO idea I was ready to open my heart so soon again, but once we actually met her in person, there was NO TURNING BACK!!!!

Bio: Zoey had been abused, we assume by the Male role in her first home. When we got her, she was terrified of my husband, Chris. After ~1 month of being with us, and Chris slowly having to gain her trust, she began to open up and start enjoying life again. NOW she is the most spoiled thing you will ever meet. Her and Chris have a wonderful relationship, and Zoey and our 10 yr old daughter Madison, are absolutely INSEPARABLE.......

Well,
Zoey isn't "quite" ready to visit the dog park with all the strangers sniffin.....as she was a rescue, we still find little "quirks" about her and one of them happens to be her social skills with the canine breed. We wil continue to work on those as best we can, and continue to train her. Maybe some day she will be excited to make new friends. For now, she will stick with her cousin doggies she has come to know and play with this last year....(my sister and parent's dogs)
