Arrival Story:
We'd adopted a 12-year-old Border Collie. I was looking for an older Redbone female & found Ladybird online at a No-Kill shelter in Salt Lake City,

According to her records at the shelter, Ladybird had 2 prior homes. She was turned in to the shelter when she was about 3 yrs. old and again when she was around 7. She was shy, more so with men, but she and I had no problem. I brought pocketfuls of dog biscuits with me when I flew to SLC to meet her. There was a cabin on the property and she & I camped inside -- she slept on top of me. The shelter managed to arrange a ride for her to Las Vegas. My husband and I met here there and drove her home to L.A. That was Oct. 2007.
