Well, as luck would have it (Or I tend to think a Christmas Miracle!) a nice man and his family came down to the shelter today (I had an application on file for another dog that he had applied for but she did not like cats) the man had a cat so I referred him to Jada. He brought his older dog down to the shelter for a play date and he ADOPTED HER!
I pray things work out!
Poor Jada had spent almost one full year at the shelter!
CONGRATULATIONS JADA! Make GOOD CHOICES! WE LOVE YOU!!
LOVE SUE & your pals at the Shelter!!!

Well Jada, don't worry, many of us are still working on finding the perfect home for you.
Like many before you, we are going to make sure when you finally go to your forever home it will be a wonderful home. I just wanted to post this entry into Jada's Diary for all people who have dogs for adoption. ESPECIALLY AMERICAN PIT BULLS/ AMERICAN STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIERS, & PIT BULL MIXES!!
As everyone already knows, please make sure to screen All APPLICANTS carefully. Make sure pre/post home checks are done!!!
Call the person inquiring about adoption vet's office to make sure all their animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on their shots. If it is an out of state adoption, call the person's animal control officer in their town/city and ask if the person has ever been in trouble with them in the past.
This is soooooo IMPORTANT!
One can NEVER BE TOO CAREFUL!!!
We all want to make sure our babies go to great FOREVER HOMES!
Taking a little time and completing these simple tasks can help us sleep easier at night knowing that our animals are placed in great homes because we care!
Happy Holidays!
