Arrival Story: Lucky has found a great home with a family that has just recently lost one of their bully's. So they know how to love and take great care of bullies.
We have a English Bulldog girl who is around 3 years old in our rescue. She is AKC registered, with champion bloodlines, but since we didn't get these papers on her, we are not adopting her out as being registered. She was said to be up to date on her shots, and fixed. I know her to be fixed, but her owners as of yet haven't given me her vet records. So we are not aware of how long ago she had her shots. Though I wouldn't give her ones with out getting what they call a titer test done on her. Because of bullies being sensitive to shots in the first place, it is best not to double up on them if you can avoid it. When you can just get a titer test done on her, and it will tell you if she has enough antibodies in her blood to protect her. It is a much safer way to be sure she is protected. She had cherry eyes when she was a pup, and had her inner eye lid removed with the cherry eye. It was a successful surgery, but she does get red eyes because of it. I give her a product called colloidal silver sprayed on her eyes, that takes care of the crustys she gets in the morning. Her eyes can get a little red, but with the spray it seems to ease it a bit, and their vet said it is nothing serious, just a product of her getting the cherry eyes removed. She is healthy and has no health issues that we know of. She came from a loving home, but they just couldn't keep her any more, they were moving and couldn't afford her. She is a little skinny but that isn't going to hurt her any, she will gain the weight back fast now that she is being taken care of. This breed isn't meant for just any one who wants one, they need to be taken care of in a certain manner, so you must be well read, or have owned one of these baby's before you can adopt this little girl. She wasn't abused in any way, they just didn't quite know what it was to own a bully, and she has suffered because of that. That's why I must find her a loving home that will take care of her in the manner that she deserves. She is a very pretty little girl, not as muscular as some of the breed I have seen, but still just as cute with her little snorty ways. LOL She loves to get in your lap and snuggle, she loves to have all the attention. She is house broken, but I was told she will need to be brought out on a schedule. So far we have had no issues with her going potty in our house, but I also take her out quite a bit too. She can be a bit dominant of dogs she first meets. She snapped at my other dog, and I corrected her on this. I think she would get along with most dogs, but one that is submissive might be the best one for her, or to be the only dog, she would love that too. This breed is well known for being stubborn and wanting their own way, and she isn't as bad as that, she will listen to me when I correct her. But I can tell where they got that saying from, she does want her own way, she just gives in a bit easier then I would say most bully's would. I was told she gets along with other dogs and even loved their cat they had. But like I said she did get a little snappy with my dog, so that needs to be taken into consideration. If you are a strong pack leader I really don't think their will be too much of an issue. But then again I wouldn't think anyone who isn't a strong pack leader should adopt a bulldog. They need that pack leader to guide them and tell them what is and isn't acceptable. She has also been around kids and was said to be great with them as much as she loves any human. She is going to make someone a great addition to the family. Please give her a chance to prove it.

Bio: Any one who wishes to adopt her must be willing to give us their vet and or personal references.
