   Leave a bone for Oscar

Wienie, Wiener Dog, Pooh Pump, Fireball

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

November 22nd 1998

Food, chasing squirrels, sleeping under the covers, the hair dryer and oddly enough spit.

Cats, especially the ones I'm not allowed to chase, having to go outside when it is really cold or wet.

Favorite Toy:
All of them, but I especially love stuffed toys that squeak!

Favorite Food:
ANYTHING, but in particular cheese and meats

Favorite Walk:
In the woods

Best Tricks:
Roll over, stand up (or as Mom calls it, the "Ground Hog"), spin, balancing food on my nose till I'm told I can have it, and of course all the basics, sit, down, paw, bark and wait

Arrival Story:
Mom got me for Christmas, I was barely six weeks old and I was the cutest little dog ever! I fit in one hand. From the very beginning I required that I be held and sleep in the bed, under the covers.

I now live with my Mom, Dad and their little boy. I am really becoming buddies with my human brother and everyone says it is so wonderful to watch! I'm a very fun-loving dog that loves a good warm lap. I'm also very protective of my family and I don't like it when strangers come running up to fast. But given some food and a "it's okay" from my family, I love anyone!

Okay, so I thought my back was getting better, but it's not exactly. It is still hurting me, but only if I over do it. So, mom is has been making me take it easy. Including making me stay at my grandparents to relax and just lay infront of the wood stove (which I LOVE!), instead of going to the beach with them. So, I'm loving the attention and the warmth of the wood stove, but AHH no beach. COME ON! I know my back is hurting, but I promised I wouldn't run the entire time I was at the beach. Mom keeps telling me, "It's for your own good." I guess I'm kind of having my own vaction. No baby brother to keep an eye on. All I have to do is eat, sleep and get lovin' I guess I can always make the next beach trip when I'm feeling better and I'll be allowed to run all I want in the sand!

Well, I've been down in my back for a few days, but this morning I got up and felt pretty good. I've been moving around and I hadn't hurt bad enough to cry not once! I can't tell who is happier, me or mom. Hopefully I'll be back to my old self in time to play in the warm weather this weekend!

Down for the count.

Things are not so great right now. See, the thing is my breed is prone to back problems. I have tree different times now that my back has hurt and I've had to go to the vet. Each time I got meds and restricked from moving as much as possible. Well, looks like back problem four is here. Last night mom called me over and asked me to jump up into the bed to snuggle and get warm, but I couldn't do it. All I could do was cry. It hurt so bad. Mom was in tears.

This morning, things aren't much better. I've been giving a spot on the couch to curl up and sleep. Mom hasn't started meds, she hates the way they make me act lifeless. I guess we'll just have to see how today goes and make plans from there. At least it isn't a pretty day that I'm missing.
