Arrival Story:
He originally went to another couple but they didn't like him following them around all the time (fools!) so he was returned to the breeder, and I bought him when he was 4 months old. The people who returned him have missed out on a fantastic dog.

A Long Trip

Tuesday 26th September

This morning we went on a very long drive to a huge place that had aeroplanes flying over all the time. I was taken by my mam to exercise ina big field, we played football for a while. I could hear lots of dogs barking and they were all in rows of cages. I felt sorry for them.

We then were taken to this small room where I was seen by a vet. This was to make sure I was fit and healthy to travel as I am to go on a trip next week. He also checked that I had had my shots. I am very fit and well so there will be no problems for this trip I am to undertake. I have to see him again next week so complete my paperwork for my trip.

Wednesday 4th October

I had a run on the beach this morning it was excellent. I LOVE the beach there are so many wierd smells on there and exciting things to smell and play with. I didn't go in the sea this morning as it was FREEZING! I went in last week though and swam for ages it was brill!

After a good run on the beach I was put into the car and driven to that place again with all the barking dogs. This time I was taken to one of the blocks of cages! I had a big cage with a nice bed in it and a run on the back. It was ok I had a good sniff of everything. Then my mam left me in there! I jumped up at the cage door and called her back. "STOP! you have forgotten me!" But she started crying and left the block. A very nice lady came and I was given some water with rescue remedy which made me feel kinda calm. I saw the nice vet again and hey guess what I am fit and healthy. Guess I must be going on that trip. I had a huge bowl of chicken wings for my tea.

Thursday 5th October

I was woken up very early this morning by the nice lady. She gave me a nice drink of water with remedy in it. I was then taken to the field and we ran and played football, I like football. I like getting the ball and shaking it and shaking it. After the game we went back to the block and I was groomed. Then the nice lady took me outside and I was put in a big box! Why would she do that! I was then loaded into a van and taken across the road to a holding area at the airport. I was a bit worried. Another vet came to see me and I was put back in my box and the box was sealed. Then I was put onto an aeroplane and flown out to Frankfurt. I spent the night in one of thier cages and they didn't even give me any tea! I didn't like that :-(

Friday 6th October

Today I got up ealry again and was taken and exercised. It was fun but I am not sure who all these people are. I want my mam. I then had to get into that box again. I was put on another plane and this time I was on it for hours. When I got off at the other end I was waiting a very long time. This was while my dad got all the paperwork sorted out to get me out of customs. Eventually after 2 hours I was taken through to another area and I heard lots of voices trying to get my box into a jeep. It wouldn't fit so they decided ot just leave it. I was released from the box and there he was, my dad! I haven't seen him for such a long time but boy was I pleased to see a familiar face at last. I wagged my tail like crazy to let him know I was so happy.

We went in his friends jeep and drove to a compound that is to be our new home. When we got to the house I had to run all over and smell EVERYTHING to make sure that it was all ok. My mam was not here which made me very sad and I was a bit mopey all night. My dad gave me a whole chicken but I was not really bothered about eating after my ordeal. He gave me a big bowl of water and it must have had more remedy in as I felt pretty chilled. I crashed out as I was very tired from my trip and needed a sleep.

Saturday 7th October

Something very exciting is happening today, my dad is very busy rushing round cleaning up. He keeps looking at the time. We went for a walk round but it was a bit hot so I didn't want to go too far. The place we live is nice, rows of lovely houses with beautiful gardens filled with interesting flowers and rows and rows of strange trees that are called date palms. Very pretty. There are some tennis courts that I am sometimes allowed in off the lead to run and chase balls not if anyone has booked them though :-(

This afternoon some friends of my dad's came to our house and sat with me because my dad went out. I would have gone too. He was gone ages but when the car pulled up outside I was there at the door to greet him. BUT it was my MAM!!!! I was SO HAPPY to see her. I told her off for leaving me, she never leaves me. I wagged my tail and got so excited I jumped up (I am not allowed to do this but she didn't seem to mind). She hugged me and kissed me and I was so glad to see her. The boys were there too and I made a fuss of them.

I was even allowed to sleep up on the bed with my mam and dad. I took advantage of that and gave my mum lots and lots of cuddles I have missed her so much!

Well My mam is moving to Saudi Arabia to live in a few short weeks. Dad has been there for almost two years and we barely see him which makes her very sad. Things have been very stressful the last few weeks as we have moved out of our house. All of our furniture has gone now which made me a bit freaked.

We are now living with my Mam's parents until we get the paperwork together that is needed for us to travel so Mam has spent a lot of time on the phone and getting very stressed!!! She is trying to arrange sending me at the moment, she seems very worried about it. It is a very long journey and I have to be on my own in a crate and she is scared for me. I am putting on a brave face for her, she has been giving me Bach Flower remedies on a cookie every day for some time now so I feel pretty calm. It is great living here as there are more people to pay me attention.

Mam's brother is funny. He chases me and tries to kiss my nose so I curl my lips and run away and pretend I don't want him to. When he stops chasing me I bark at him, silly man of course I want him to chase me! He sometimes hides behind the settee and tries to jump out on me but I rush at him and then run away, it is great fun! I think I like him, but don't tell him hehehehehe

I had a pants day last Monday. I had an appointment with Vlad the Impaler so i could get my rabies shots. Mam assures me that it was necessary. She was very mad because I was microchipped ready for the trip (she never had it done before as I have a tattoo in my ear). The chip she bought was expensive as it has biotherm in it so I can just be scanned for my tempreture, but the silly vet did not have the scanner for it so he had to stick a thermometre in a place I would rather not discuss! I think I was more upset than Mam on that one! The shots made me very poorly. I had a very upset tummy for most of the week. Mam had to get some crab apple to clear the toxins from my body. I am feeling much, much better now.

So I am ready now and will be on my travels in just 6 weeks time. It is very scary but exciting at the same time. I will be able to have lots of new adventures and we are going to go camping in the desert, how cool is that! I have a new set of doggles just in case there are sand storms as my Mam says my eyes are very prescious and beautiful so she wants to protect them. It is going to be wierd at first being over there and I will have to get used to the heat. Thankfully we have an air conditioned villa I can lie in if it all gets to much. I have lots of things to help me too Mam has been looking on the internet for products and has bought loads. I am a very lucky boy : )
