Arrival Story:
We went to the Humane Society of North Texas to look at an Amber Siberian Huskie, but when we saw him, we realized he was too big for our apartment. I started to walk around the shelter to see the other dogs, but I knew that we probably weren't going to go home with a dog that day. I finally came across a dog named Nina. She was so sweet and didn't bark when I first talked to her. She was so well-mannered and I had to show her to my husband. We asked to see her in the play area right away! My husband was a little hesitant because she was shedding alot, but he really liked her attitude. She knew who she had to impress, so when she was brought in, she went straight to my husband and laid her head in his lap, and after he looked out her for a minute, he turned to me and said "this is my dog." As we were filling out the paperwork, my husband decided that his new best friend needed a name we picked. He wanted it to be a proper, pretty name, so I said "Lady". We both looked at her and she looked right back up, so we knew from that point on, her name was Lady. Three days later, she was home and happy in her new loving life

Mom just got home from school and took me on a very long walk! We have a field across the street that I have never run around and since I did my all my "business" quickly, mom took me over there to play. It was so much fun! I chased some birds and saw a BIG scary brown thing, but mom moved it and showed me it was just a branch from a tree with leaves still on it. (I'm still a pup, so that still scared me silly!) Today is a little cold, so I am just gonna hang out in the apartment and chew on my toy. I hope I get to see Blu soon, though! I haven't seen her since before christmas and I miss her! I keep looking for her out the window by my stairs, but I always miss her. :( I will have to go over to her house soon and say hi! Well, gotta go take care of my toys...they can't chew themselves!
