Arrival Story:
I volunteered to give Zilla a forever home after hearing from my brother about her unfortunate living situation and how her owner was probably going to take her to the animal shelter. She was approx. 12 weeks old and had already been in two homes since leaving her mother at about 8 weeks. She came to us infested with fleas and worms but they are gone now! It's been exactly 8 weeks since she's been with us and we love her more than words can express.

Bio:
I had my brother track down her first known owner since leaving mom to be sure that she wasn't a pit bull as my homeowners insurance blacklist them. The woman told my brother that she is a purebred Bullmastiff Terrier, she had gotten her when she was eight weeks old, and that she had sold the dog for $50 (still outstanding) two weeks prior. As she doesn't have the proper coloring for a Bullmastiff, as well as a long snout and ears, I am assuming she is a mixed breed. I have picked the brain of anyone at the vet that looked at her for their opinion as to breed and they have given me a variety of answers. Any opinions anyone has about her are welcome...I want to make sure she is getting proper nutrition and treatment.

:(:
Zilla passed on March 3, 2009. She jumped the fence to run with the neighbors dog and was led down the street and up the hill to the train tracks and was hit. I loved her like a child and will never forget her. She was the best.
