Arrival Story:
We went to the shelter to get a poodle that we saw on petfinder, but he had already been adopted. We went in the back anyway to see who else was there. We spent a while there, but I kept going back to Maggie's cage, where she would stand on her back legs and look intently at me. Finally, I decided to take her outside and get to know her. It was instant love. She's still settling in, so she's probably a bit more docile than she will be once she feels at home. I'm glad we adopted her. She's a wonderful girl, but I worry she might have had trouble finding a home because of her age. Another lady who was there looking with her adult daughter was happy we took Maggie, since she fell in love with her, but couldn't have dogs. She was crying! A year and a half later and Maggie is settled in great. She's fun to travel with and the first dog I can trust off leash!

Bio:
We don't know very much about her background. She was a stray. I suspect she was a beloved pet of an older lady who died. She has wonderful manners and is already housebroken. She is a joy to walk. She likes to come to work with me on Mondays, after her big bath and groom on Sunday nights.
