Arrival Story:
I wanted a dog so badly so when a friend of mine won a lot of money at the casino he took me to pick out my little monkey! While I tried to rescue a dog many times before, the only young available dogs in my area were big and at that time I was living in a small apartment and knew I wouldn't be able to care for a big dog. So against my beliefs, to a pet store we went. He was such an adorable little munchkin and I fell in love with him right away! I wouldn't advise anyone to purchase a dog from a pet store. Even though he came with several "guarantees," we dealt with a lot of problems in his early months. Having a sick puppy broke my heart and despite the "warrantee" I had on Guy, there was no way I was going to "return" him like a pair of shoes. Several hospital bills later and into adulthood we have a clean bill of health! Guy is a striving, healthy young boy now with a few allergies that are easy to manage. I love my little monkey so much and spoil him rotten!

Bio:
Contrary to common small dog behavior, Guy is not a lap dog. He prefers sleeping on hard, cold floors but will settle for carpet so he can be near his mom. Guy loooovess his bum scratched and his belly rubbed and as long as you're doing one of those two things to him, he'll sit with you. Guy is a big Shih Tzu (17lbs) and looks like a Lhasa...hmmmmmm
