Arrival Story:
I was supposed to adopt a Pit Bull mix, but at the last moment, things were canceled. So I were heartbroken and had all the stuff for a dog, yet no dog. I bought a paper and a BYB was selling this boy because she was allergic to him and her current dog was beating him up. That and her "breeding plans" I guess weren't working out as well as she had hoped.

Bio:
Neko's mother was a purebred, solid white Akita with white eyes and his father was a purebred, black German Shepherd. He's got an even mix of both breeds: the fur of the Akita, the gait of a Shepherd, and the friendlyness of both. He's a quick learner once you get his attention. He's a bit of a goof, but very protective of his mom. In March 2010, Neko was diagnosed with a form of skin cancer. The lump and problem area was removed surgically and the vet has high hopes that it was caught early. But that news and the surgery didn't slow him down one bit. On June 5th, 2010, Neko became a AKC Canine Good Citizen and a Therapy Dog! He's looking forward to his new 'jobs' and people are already smitten with him.
