bullie is in heaven....

bullie's last day...

well, it is 9:18 on may 16 and we just got back from having mabel put to sleep.....she had been sick for while now and i just waited for a sign from her that she was ready....10 1/2 years is way to short a time.....she was my first baby....got me through bedrest for 3 months for my pregnancy and has not left my side once !!!!
i will miss her greeting when she wakes up each morning, and how she carried her kong to bed with her every night.....i'll miss sitting on the toilet with her right next to me with her paw on my leg the entire time.....
i will miss her sweet, dopey face looking at me like she understood everything i said.....
i am so glad she got to meet her "boys", and she loved them so much.....going to new hampshire without her will be so hard....but then again so will waking up each morning and knowing she's not here....
things around this house will be so different and will take so much getting used to....there are so many reminders of her everywhere, but i know she is in a better place and that she was ready to go....she tried so hard these past few weeks, but i could tell in her eyes last night that she needed to rest and that i needed to be strong enough to let her go....
for anyone who has ever gone through this, you know what i mean....
bullie, i love you and will miss you every day and i thank you for being my sweetest girl and always making me smile........
