Sod!

Hildy was raised "doing her business" by following a bunch of other Frenchies out the back door, onto the yard, and then following them all back inside. I tried training her pee outside while on a lead... or using wee-wee pads. And she wasn't having either one (stubborn girl!)

So I looked up some other options. I read that if you unroll some sod on your patio (I live in an apartment) and let her out the door... training her to use it like a wee-wee pad... she'll use it. And after laying down a tarp and unrolling a huge piece of sod (5' x 2'), she immediately took to it. We've only had a couple accidents since I brought it home... and she's become a peeing/pooping machine on it!!

Eventually, once it's gotten kinda gross, i will take pieces of it out to the complex's property and integrate it onto some bare spots on their lawn. Maybe she'll learn to use the lawn...
