Going outside when it's cold and rainy

Favorite Toy:
She discovered her sister Lola's s squeeky toys, so she now has a couple of her own and she likes to walk back and forth between the living room and bed room holding one in her mouth

Favorite Food:
So far she likes everything I've given her. She was starved for awhile, so she's enjoying getting treats every morning and having a full belly every night!

Best Tricks:
Suzie is doing very well with loose leash walking, sit and down.

Arrival Story:
Suzie Q was a stray running around my neighborhood for about a year. She ended up pregnant and had a litter of 10 pups. All but two of them either died or disappeared. Suzie Q has now been spayed and is up today on her shots. She is mildly heartworm positive, but now on preventative, which will kill the heartworms she already has and prevent any new. She is doing much better on a leash now and is ok being crated, and somehow seems to even have house trained herself, as she's very good a letting me know when she needs to go outside. She has this little whine she does when she needs to. Suzie Q still doesn't like being on a leash, but we are working on it. Hopefully she'll get better when we start her training in a couple of weeks.

Wow, mom just told me that I get to have my own diary on my Dogster page. Mom also told me that she would like my first entry to be about now I saved her life. I don't really think I did, cause I was just doing what comes natural to me, but she says I saved her life.

A couple weeks ago, a neighbors bull got out of his pasture (for probably the 8th or 9th time. Mom now calls him Houdini), and charged at her! She had gone out to get the mail and had her back to the street. Mom says she heard noise behind her and turned just in time to see the bull jump over the ditch from the empy, over-grown lot, and charge at her! Well, all I saw was a big animal to chase so I ran at it and got between it and my mom. Mom says I put myself between her and the bull and by barking at it and lunging at it, I scared it off and saved her life. To me it was just something to play with, but I guess I must have done something really good cause I got lots of extra love and good treats! :-)

Mom keeps saying went from being a stray to a pampered pooch! I'm not really sure what that means, but I do like where I live now and I really love my new mom! :-)
